Hi,
I'm 36 and have a 15 month son but trying for number 2 with not much luck, I'm using Fertilityfriend and a basal thermometer since December to try for a second one and my last cycle was a week late but the test turned out negative. Anyone else br___tfeeding trying to conceive. I was wondering if I should ask for Clomid to see if that won't help. I found that once my periods started again they have been strange and according to the chart we have been fairly accurate with doing the baby dance when ovulation has be shown but no luck. Any advice for someone using Clomid?

You might have better luck with ovulation when you stop b___stfeeding since b___stfeeding can surpress ovulation. Your doctor might want you to try that first before trying Chlomid, especially if you normally ovulate on your own anyway.

hi klm - i was b___stfeeding my 16 mo old and fell pregnant after 2 months of ttc (the only 2 months i got AF were at 16 & 17 mos past birth) and i used the clear blue fertility monitor (not the OPK) the actual digital monitor that you use for the whole month. and that is the ONLY way i knew when i was O'ing. as my cycles were like 36 &42 days apart. i ended up miscarrying at 11w and although no will will give me the 100% that it had anything to do with it - the research i have found supports that the prolactin in the body produced while bf-ing can play a role. (we were down to a few times only per day so i could get AF back to begin with at 16 mos.) i hated to give up bf-ing i loved that time with my baby - but i had to have a D&C and didn't have much choice. (dd was 20mos at the time) & that made it doubly hard - i missed the closeness and bf-ing time with dd while having to cope with the loss of baby #2 and a D&C. i know it can be done - you can def. get preggo while bf-ing and the CB easy monitor can help. i was not good with the BBT's since i didn't have a consistent time i woule temp each day. good luck!!

I just gave birth to my 4th three weeks ago and I know that when I was pregnant with my 2nd and my first weaned herself at 10 months that my pediatrician kept grilling me that I was not bf my daughter because that would take away from the new baby getting the nutrition he needs and also I would worry that the oxytocin that is produced when a baby b___stfeeds could cause a mc. I would seriously stop bfeeding if you want to have another baby. I know now just thinking about it that I squirted milk out early in my 2nd pregnancy to show my sister how much milk I had and now I cringe even though that "baby" is 18 and fine, that what was I thinking, what if I would have lost him? We would like a fifth and I am bf my 3 week old but will definitely stop before trying to conceive. Good luck
