Our baby is arriving this week, and while I had planned to br___tfeed, I'm not seeing or feeling any signs that I am going to be able to.
By the time my sons were born, my br___ts were engorged, hot, and leaky. I had enough to feed an army with both of them! This time, they aren't even swollen, though they have been sore on and off. How can I tell? Do I need to have formula on hand? Do I need to just plan on bottle feeding?

Hi--Your b___sts probably just got used to milk procution. I found that the baby always got milk out even if I was not leaking and my b___sts were soft. This happens naturally after you have been b___stfeeding a while--weeks or months. It is normal to have soft, non-leaking b___sts and produce plenty of milk, as long as your baby or toddler is still sucking. Call La Leche League or e-mail for help and support

Most likely you will be fine once the baby is here. I did have a problem with my milk coming in at first and was told that it was because of anemia. They check that during your blood tests. Ask if it was low when you see the doctor so that you can take iron supplements if you need to. My sister in law has had three children and her milk didn't come in until the day after her third one was born. She was overflowing a week before the second one got there. Good luck
