I am 37 and 12 wks. Last wk I had a CVS and the direct results after 2 days on 6 cells had 50% Trisomy 21 - Down Syndrome. The Full results came out yesterday and on 48 cells NONE of them had any abnormalities. Now I am going for an amnio in 3 weeks to make sure there is no mosaicism of Trisomy 21. Anyone who had similar experience please share.

I have a friend who was also 37 with her first baby. Her CVS showed abnormal results. She even had an u/s (in a later week, but I can't remember which) and they said the arms and legs were too short, which apparently could also indicate Downs. She never did an amnio because she wouldn't consider abortion and she just didn't want to put herself through more tests and upset. It ended up that her baby was fine- his arms and legs are perfectly proportioned, so she'll never know what all the fuss was about. Anyway, I wish you luck with your amnio.
