Hello everybody, I'm 29 weeks pregnanat and 37 years old. This is my second baby. First one is healthy and sweet 3 years old daughter, and now I'm expecting a boy, which is suppose to be very exciting, but my ultrosound ( just few days ago) showed that my son has calcification in his liver and dilated loops of intense and he will need surgery right after birth.... Is anybody went through this and can share what to expect? I'm lost and frustrating... Day before this news my husband was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, which shoched both of us... Anyway, I know I have to go through this some how, but at least more info would be helpful. Thank you

Sorry I don't have the answers you're looking for but I just wanted to say that as I read your story my heart goes out to you. This must be a difficult time for you and your husband, to face whatever treatment he needs and then to face surgery on your little one right after birth. Keep your faith--hope and trust in medical advances and technology that all will be fine with your son and with your husband as well. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. I also hope that someone here has the information you need.

Thank you Perl for support... May be it is even more needed right now than anything else... I've got a lot of information on internet, and looks like it is pretty common that babies have calcifications in the liver. Sometimes it is goes away by itself after birth, sometimes enother problem could cost it, but after fixing the problem: it is goes away too, but sometimes it cost baby's life, which is very rare, so I hope we are not in that count... What about dilated loops of my baby's intense: no body knows nothing, untill he wll born. Right now they just can see excess of fluid in the intense, which means this fluid can't pa__s through and there is some blockage... every thing else absolutely normal: my baby is growing well, he has good body proportion, normal weight and he is very activ baby. I'm trying to be optimistic here. Only thing i don't understand why I'm going through such problems all the time?!! Before I had my daughter, I had three miscarriages, surgery on cervix and all together it took over four years to get pregnant with my daughter... And now again something... I guess, some one just getting all kind of "staff" to appreciate this gift of New Life... But why me??? Sorry, I didn't mean to be a "cry baby" here... I just needed vent... My next ultrosounds August 18th and my doctor transfered me to high risk clinic, where I have an appointment this Monday. At least I know that my baby is now under wardship of professionals. Perl, Thank you again and best of luck to you and everybod on this board.
