I drink 2 pots a day. I am 38 and pregnant with bean #2. I do drink way to much coffee, I know that. But two small cups a day should be fine...although there are the pregnancy nazis who may say other wise. I also have a ds (now 6) that I also drank coffee while pregnanct and a soda or a lg iced tea a day. He is the smartest cutest most agile kid. Way more coordinated then many of the kids in his cla__s. Enjoy your coffee and good luck

Caffeen can be good when you are trying to conceive - I've read somewhere that it can help your cm to be thinner and more receptive to sperm - you'd have to look it up, but I recall hearing it from a couple places. But once you are pregnant, it's best to cut down a bit if you can, as it can can have some bad effects in too large a quant_ty - if nothing else, it can just add to your already frazzled nerves. I'm a major soda/coffee drinker, and after forcing myself to cut down to 1 soda & coffee cup a day with this pregnancy, it has helped greatly (I intend to drink a lot more afterwards though! LOL). Best of luck - and try to relax and enjoy trying - that will give you the best results. : )

I don't drink coffee at all. I don't think there is any problem with drinking while trying to get pregnant. But, to put yourself in optiimal health is key to getting pregnant. It would be a good time to start to wein off because caffiene should be avoided when you are pregnant. Good luck!

My doctor said to try and limit yourself to one cup a day if your trying or pregnant.

There are exceptions where seemingly healthy children do prevail when parents have made poor decisions with what they put in their bodies leading up to conception and beyond. The bottom line is if you would feed a newborn coffee in their bottle instead of formula then basically that is what your are doing to the unborn fetus. This also goes for smoking, alcohol, illegal substances, and many other things pregnant women are suppose to avoid. The bottom line is the decisions are ultimately yours. Before a pregnancy we are told to begin taking prenatal vitamins, to eat healthy and excercise..even to cut back signifigantly on alcohol, caffiene, and junk food and stress. I guess it all depends on how bad you want this..and what you are willing to sacrifice for optimal health of your future baby. Best of luck!
