Early Scan Show My Dates Possibly Wrong

Hi everyone, I am new here and would like some opinions on what is confusing me. Going by my LMP (11June2006), I should be 7weeks and 2 days. However I had an early scan today and the dr could just about make out a fetal pole which measured 5-6weeks and a possible flicker of a heatbeat. Now Im almost sure that I ovulated on day 14, so I dont understand why they are querying my dates, besides we only had s_x a day or so around that time, then husband was away for a few weeks after that, so how can it be? Is there a possiblity that it stopped developing at 5-6 weeks and maybe that wasnot a heatbeat that was seen?
I am going back for anothe u/s next Friday 11th Aug, so will know more then, but the waiting is going to drive me crazy. So I just wanted to hear if anyone else had experienced this. This is my 3rd pregnancy, the previous two I miscarried at early stages.

Hi I would say wait until your next scan sometimes babies don't develope as fast as you may think they should I would not worry until your next scan...if that shows no growth then worry and you also have to remember the sono machine in your doctors office may not be that up to date in most cases they are not they just use them to make sure the embryo is implanted correctly so just wait it out sorry but you can't really do more than that I am sure all is ok good luck!!
