FSH Injection Instead Of Clomid

Hi, girls! I did my ovulation test for LH and also my estrogen level. Both were positive for ovulation and I accually felt ovulation itself. My doctor did a blood test for progesteron level and sad what it is low and I did not ovulate. I tried to receck myself this month with a fancy $199 from Walgreens digital ovulation prediction test and also with saliva changes under microscope and again saw a positive for ovulation. I do not know what to do...My doctor wanted to gave me FSH injection instead of Clomid...I never tried any of them and I do not know Why he is thinking that FSH better than Clomid. I am 39 very stressed and frustrated, seems no doctor really care just wanted to make money. Please give me some advise.

Hi there, What is a FSH injection do? I thought it was better to have a low FSH count not high? I myself just had my very first bloodwork done yesterxday and am new to all this. I am 37 and ttc my fourth to no avail. Over 13 months of ttcing. My dr did the fsh test on cd7, not 3 and my number was 7.7, and I am concerned it is a false low because of it being cd7, not 3. How long have you been trying?

I a__sume you will be taking Follistim or Gonal-F--one of the fsh-only stimulation meds.?.? Lots of people that don't have success w/clomid move on to injectibles. Usually the drs try clomid first, but likely with your age, your dr wanted to skip clomid and move on to the stronger meds. I have taken both. Don't stress about it. It is better that your dr is being aggressive to get you pg!! Good luck!
