Frustrated And Honestly Depressed

Yes the doctor gave me 50mg for 3 months and to come back in Feb 2008. I did not really realize all the stuff about clomid that is why I came on line to see what other people go through. Because as I said I had been having bad cramping, back pain and vomit feelings. My doctor is a Gyne, so I a__sumed he knows his stuff and if there was any concerns he would have told me. I now only have 2 months left of it, next week I will see if AF comes. I hope from hearing what you are saying that I do end up pregnant so I do not have to take them any longer. I am now going to call his office though, because you are obviously right and have experienced htis and I should ask him to monitor me. I appreciate all your advice and this forum is great for support. Thank you all

Dreamers: Good luck with whatever you decide to do. I know that it is not unheard of for doctors to give clomid and not follow through with the monitoring. I just personally think it is irresponsible. It is a big time committment to be monitored, as it will require you to go in everyday for a transv____al ultrasound but the idea is that the technician can see exactly how many follicles you are producing, what size you are producing, and after ovulation she can even tell you how many eggs you released and from which ovaries. It really helps them narrow down the science of which dose to give you and for what cycle days, and can even help them determine if you should be given another med in conjunction with the clomid - the other med is a hormone (hgh) which would force your ovaries to release the follicles...by being closely monitored, they would know exactly when the follicles are mature enough to be released at the right time for the biggest chance of success in conception. they give the hgh via a shot in the rump. not pleasant, but it is a one-time deal and it allowed me to conceive baby #2 on my first cycle of clomid. Let us know how things turn out for you!

Hi MNMOM, I really appreciate all the information you have provided. Since there is nothing that can be monitored this month (my first month on clomid) as I am on cd 21 and my doctor would not be able to schedule the ultrasound at the hospital in time for me. I will most definatly be in contact with him for the next round (hoping so much I won't need to). I certainly want to know how many I am producing and if they are being released. I did not know they would be able to do so until I have recently read up on this. Thank you again for your help, I very much appreicate it. I will keep you posted....

Hi everyone, Sorry but I have another question. MNMOM, was mentioning overstimulated ovaries. Would you know if you had overstimulated ovaries. Is it a continual bloating, lower abdominal pain and quizzy feeling (vomit)....Or is it normal to feel that way on cd 21? Not sure if this is the case or that I am ovulating ect. I have felt this way for days now. Sorry for being somewhat paranoid here, just trying to understand all of this. Thanks again for all of your help

dreamers- clomid by nature overstimulates your ovaries. By this I mean a woman normally ovulates one or at best 2 eggs each month during ovulation, on clomid you produce several follicles and it makes your ovaries tender and sore upon release. The thing is, you cannot determine to what degree you are being stimualted just by how you feel, only an ultrasound tech can determine this by an ultrasound. if you are concerned, I would ask to be seen by your ob. he/she needs to give you more info! :)

Hi, I am new here. I just have had missed M/C and had D&C on Oct 17th. I am 38, not on clomid yet. But this month starting at my CD15 I felt exactly what you ladies have, a small pain on my right ovary, a bit sickness, tummy sensitivities..I did not think of this is any matter till reading your posts. Do you think without on clomid that I can be able to feel all this? The sickness is a bit strong. I heard that people can be quiet emotional when you are on clomid, is that true? Sorry I also like to get myself ready to ttc again, thanks for sharing your experiences. It really helps a lot.

Clmoid really messes with your hormones, for some this means really emotional, for me I was completely b___hy. It was really rough. But worth it :)

Hi everyone. My stomach pains have subsided a bit and I am not feeling as sick to my stomach. I am 2 days late and have very sore b___sts, so I took a home pregnancy test last night and was a BFN. I was really hoping to luck out on my first month of taking clomid, but I still have 2 months supply so I will be keeping my fingers crossed. I just turned 39 this weekend and certainly hoping I will be able to conceive before I am 40. Thanks for listening everyone and good luck to everyone who is trying.

MNMOM, thanks! I shall warn my husband when I am on clomid.

By the time we had a + on the kit it was usually too late. Wait until you have that egg yolk type discharge when you wipe after going to the bathroom. Then go attack hubby for the next 3 days.
