I'm 35 and finally found the man of my dreams, we are looking at getting pregnant. I have herpes and dont' want to pass it to my partner. Is there a way to do have intercourse to produce a baby and not pass my infection on to my partner??? Or do we need to try another route.....

no one ever seems to answer these type questions, funny when 1 in 5 adults has this virus.... i have herpes and lived with my ex partner for 8 years without pa__sing it on... just avoided s_x when i felt an outbreak coming on, of course that may not work for all, but my ex did understand that at worst he may end up with a cold sore on his p___s and that was not the end of the world. Bit more of a worry is when you give birth (i had two children) it is a good idea to take antiviral medication for the couple months leading to your due date, if pa__sed onto baby it is very bad news.

ps... if your partner is not prepared to 'take the risk' you could self inseminate with the contents of a condom after you have s_x on your fertile days....

My husband has herpes and I have not contracted it and we have been married over 20 years. We simply avoid intercourse when he has an outbreak. That meant that there were some months we could not try during the fertile period, but simply tried again the following month. Your doctor will know what to do to keep the baby safe.
