Anyone in a previous pregnangy measure greater than date and still carry to term? I am measuring 31 weeks at 27 weeks. Anyone with experience with this? Had u/s and it was not extra fluid or twins... Oh...and my dates are NOT off! Thanks!

Do you have GD? You may just make big babies or measurement are off...

I pa__sed glucose/1 hour test with a score of 122. They said anything between 65 and 135 was okay. I figure they will have me do another test if continue to measure big. At 23 wiks, I measured 2wks ahead and they did an u/s at 25 wks. They said my fluid level was fine and that baby was 2lbs which was in the upper percentile for that time. She measured close to 25wks, except her head was larger. At 26 wks, I measured 29 wks, now at 27 wks, 31wks. So...it seems to just be increasing each time. Probably should watch my carbs, but wondered if anyone delivered early due to this??? Were induced or had scheduled c-section?? We want her to grow as long as possible in me so her lungs and everything are developed... My mom was a 10lb baby, but the u/s tech said the measurements of myself and spouse were usually better indicators.

I did with #3. I didn't know why I was measuring so big, except that maybe baby would be big. At my 32 week check the doctor said it felt like baby could be full term already. Well, I got to 39 weeks, had my c-section and he was 10 lbs. 6 oz. 22 3/4"- guess that explained it! And I didn't even have GD.

Wow!! That is a big baby!! Didn't need newborn clothes, huh? :-) Recently, I have heard of one 12 and one 13 lb baby born at our local hospital. I have heard bigger babies sleep better, was that true for you??

tryingx3, I didn't think I could be that lucky (b/c my first was a terrible sleeper, second was great), so I thought What are the chances I get another great sleeper? The first night home he slept 9 hours straight and has mostly slept all night since. No, no newborn clothes, but I had 3-6 month stuff along at the hospital b/c my other two were 9 lbs. 5 oz. and 8 lbs. 3 oz. (and the 8'er was taken early!). Today was my youngest's 1 st b-day. The next oldest up is 2 1/2 and they wear the same size- lol.

People probably ask if they are twins...ha ha! I am planning to b___stfeed, so I guess sleeping isn't really going to be an option! Everytime I think "I'm tired"...I think, you don't even know what tired is!!

I'll probably soon get the twins thing from people!! Right now, it's pretty obvious they aren't (if you don't go by size!) because Leah's talking and running around and stuff and Justin's not walking yet and just babbles. But, when he starts doing those things, I'll probably get it more. They were at the doctor's last week. Justin's only 4 lbs. lighter than Leah and only 2" shorter than what she was at 2!! Oh, and I wish you luck getting a good sleeper! I b___stfed, too and my last two were still good sleepers that slept through right away- I was surprised- I guess that's somewhat unusual. The only thing I did different with them than # 1 was swaddling. Maybe that made a difference?? Anyway, I'm rambling, so I'll shut up now:)

sahmof3 - maybe my little one will sleep more/better than I am anticipating. :-) Cross my fingers here. :-) I am one of those who needs 8 hours of sleep so it will be a difficult time for me...especially as I guess I will still need to limit caffeine intake!
