I am wondering if anybody has used the hypnobirthing method in childbirth. If so I would love to know your results.

I've never heard of this. Having worked in the health insurance industry, I bet that it would not be covered. But I am interested to hear about it!

lynnstress....insurance don't cover it, but it is a cla__s you take like childbirth cla__ses. To over simplify it, it helps you relax and focus on what your body needs instead of what the doctor want you to do. It is a way to try and achieve a more natural childbirth, without tons of drugs. The teacher helps teach you to almost hypnotize yourself so you don't feel the pain.

I just read up on this subject and it sounds like it makes sense. The whole idea is to relax, and remember that your body is designed to deliver this child and to listen to your body, instead of yelling, crying, cursing and having a lot of drugs. I think I may not go the whold route with it, but use parts to empower myself to get through the labor and delivery. During my first, I always thought in my mind that every minute that pa__ses, that I was that much closer to having my baby in my arms. Focus, focus, focus. Good Luck:-)
