Hello everyone, I posted here earlier this year as my wife and I got married this summer. I was wondering how long it would take to get pregnant. Well, we got pregnant after a few months of trying and are estatic. My wife is now close to 7 weeks pregnant and we are holding off on telling anyone till 12 weeks. My wife is feeling a "pulling" in the lower right side abdomen. Is this a normal sign of pregnancy. I read as much as I could but was hoping for some personal advice. Thanks and good luck to everyone.....!!!

Paul, if it is painful or is accompanied by spotting, I would ask your doctor for an ultrasound to be sure it is growing in the uterus and not a fallopian tube. Otherwise, it can be normal. My 1st pregnancy, I felt lots of pulling and discomfort from the very beginning and delivered a boy 9 months later. My doctor thought it was round ligaments stretching.

Hi Paul:
Congratulation! I have three beautiful and healthy children (16, 12, & 9) and I did have some "pulling" sensation with all my pregnancies. It is probably just pulling of the ligaments. I think this is perfectly normal. You could call you doctor so that he/she can rea__sure you, but again I think it is just part of pregnancy. How old is your wife?
