I am 39 yrs and 21 weeks pregnant, this is my first pregnancy. Everything was ok up till 3 days ago when I did my detailed U/S where they found that I have low Amniotic Fluid volume. Dr said that Baby is still fine and can move, but I need to rest and Drink a lot of water. I am very scared and can't wait for my next U/S in 2 weeks. Did anyone of you had the same problem but things went alright after while?

I have not had that happen but I have heard of it and I also heard that as long as you rest and drink plenty of water that is will bring your fluid way up...I heard about this very early in my pregnancy and have made sure to drink atleast 640z per day....good luck

My problem is the other way around. I have a little bit too much water :(

Yes, with my first son-my fluid leaked from 7 months on. My doctor just monitored me closely, lots of ultrasound and non-stress test. My sone came out weighing 7lbs9oz and was very healthy. She was more scared that I might have a dry birth, which is very painful I guess.

I had this happen later in my pregnancy wk 34 I think. I was in the hospital overnight on IV to up my fluids. I was on partil bedrest and drank sooo much and spent so much time in the bathroom, but it paid off. My daughter was born healthy and happy. Get as much rest as you can now, because you will have a lack of it in about 19 weeks good luck.

Thanks for all your replies. I am doing all what my doctor told me, but recently I noticed some white substance coming out of me, could it be because I am drinking a lot of water?

Hmm...I think I remember when I was around that time (21 wks--I'm now 32 wks)-- I also had some white (almost chalk like) discharge. It didn't smell or anything just white! I think it's called " leucorrhoea" and is normal and harmless. It stopped after awhile.Ask your doctor about this on your next visit just to be sure.
