Hi - Does anyone have experience with low HCG at 5 weeks? Mine is reported at 67! I am waiting for the second test but it does not sound promising.

wait for the 2nd test...it should double every 48-72 hours. That is the best inicator. I can't remember what my hcg's were off hand now but mine were no skysc___pers either. I am 21 weeks now with a boy. Wishing you well.

Melissa, are you exactly sure about your ovulation date? If you are just a few days off, that can make a big difference. I also agree that you shoudl wait until the next test. The fact that it increases as it should is much more important than the initial number.

If anything, it might be 14dpo, so between 14-16 dpo. Everything else I have read has people with these huge HCG levels, and mine is pathetic.

if you are indeed only 14-16 dpo, then 67 is a fine number!
Relax...if you start comparing yourself to others you will go nuts. Your body is much different then anyone elses. Let it do its thing. Wait and see if it doubles...BUT I WANT AN UPDATE, I'll be looking for it :)

Don't worry. There's a huge span of what "normal" is. Mine was 91 at about that same point and I'm now almost 21 weeks. I agree with the others, it's not the initial number that counts, but how it increases that's important.

Thanks Ladies - I have had 2 MCs this past year so am a "nervous nelly." I had a Myoectomy in March and I thought my body was now in peak shape. The low HCG # has me freaked. And THEN, no call back from the doc today for the 48 hour HCG result. (WTF?? She clearly knows my history considering the 2 D&Cs and one myoectomy she performed!!). I only know the initial B HCG # because I bullyed the nurse to tell me. Poor girl, she probably thinks she'll be fired. This sux.

So, does 14 dpo mean 14 days past ovulation? And, if so wouldn't this be just about the time you'd expect a period? I found out I was pregnant with my dd VERY early, too, and her first HcG was a 25- (my first pregnancy ended in m/c w/D&C, too), so I was freaked out!!! But, she's now a happy, healthy 2 1/2 yo.!!

Yeah!!! I went from 67 to 176 in 2 days! Doc even said congratulations and we scheduled the first ultrasound for 2 weeks! And my progesterone is totally normal!

MelissaK, congrats on the good news about your HCG level. You were probably just 1 week pregnant with your first reporting of 67. The levels do double and triple in the beginning. My first HCG was 330.18, but I had waited to get it tested. I have my next blood work in a few days. Good luck to you!!

Also, I had a m/c back in December so I know EXACTLY how you feel. My doctor doesn't want to see me, unless there's a problem, until August -- when I'm about 12 weeks. Go figure.... Fortunately, I still had a supply (and a script) for my prenat. vits. All doctors are different. My friend's doctor ordered her an U/S when she was 7 weeks to ease her mind. She too had a m/c previously.
