Been on the pill for over 20 years, would anyone like to give me odds on the chances of getting pregnant. I will also be 41 in a couple of months and suspect I may have endemetrosis (sp). Thanks for any answers.

the pill shouldn't affect your fertility but it will be a bit hard to know what your cycles are like. dont know about endo but just stop taking the pill and go for it. you can get pregnant first cycle after stopping the pill.

Diamond, I would consult your dr. about the endemetrosis before trying to get pregnant. My best friend had several m/c before finding out the endemetosis was the reason. She also found out that, had she had it treated sooner, she probably would have been able to carry the babies she m/c to term. Hope this helps.

I'm only 35 but have been on the pill for over ten years. Am also wondering how easy it will be for me to conceive.

i was on the pill almost non-stop for 19 years. (from 16 to 35). It didn't seem to affect my fertility. first, i went off it briefly when i was 33 and got pregnant within about 10 days but for stupid reasons not worth getting into i had a termination. then i went off pill for good last summer and got pregnant our first month of trying, but went on to miscarry. now i'm pregnant again, after four months ttc since then. i'm 36 now. the odds to worry about are really just age related, and declining fertility. (i know none of us want to hear it but it's true.)

sounds like my story, I discontinued the pill, waited one cycle before trying to conceive, within 4 months I did. Have you ruled out endometriosis by a physician ?

Thanks for the replies, I have had some tests done and have a large fibroid and a cyst on my cervix. Don't think I will pursue children at this time.
