Hi There, I will be 43 in Apr and 1st time trying. I have diabetes type 2 and was laways terrified of taking insulin while pg and so we did not try b4...but now I am older and hopefully wiser and wld like to have a baby. My dh is 47, so we will be older parents but very happy with the prospect. I was told by FSH is 11 and the max is usually 10 so they are not holding out much hope of us getting pg on our own. I start the 1st month of clomid when I get my next af and I am temping now to see when I o to make it a bit easier next month. She gave me a prescrip for 3 months so we will see how it goes. The RE sugg donar eggs if it doesn't work since I only produced 1 follie in each overy on day 3 of last af.
It is looking grim but I am still hoping and praying that it will happen as we are not too keen on the donar eggs.
Anyway good luck, baby dust all round.

hello to you too...I do not think an fsh of 11 is bad...I am not sure how much belief I am putting in this fsh bull...we must remember these are tests that RE's use for their methods of getting us pregnant...it does not mean we cannot get pregnant. That is what I have decided to focus on. I do not think your situation sounds all that grim...remember it only takes 1 good egg, only 1!!!! My DH and I have gone back and forth regarding donor eggs...we actually have a family member that is willing to donate, but we are not completely comfortable with it as of yet. Baby dust and prays to you and your DH!!

After 5 years of trying, I conceived on my own (with the help of my hubby of course!) and I gave birth to a healthy baby girl in April 2006 at age 43. I am now 44 and pregnant again and expecting in November. I wish all of you the best of luck. Blesses and best wishes!

staceyellen I have so many questions for you. Did you change your diet at all? If so, what were you eating. Exercising at all? do you know what your day 3 levels were? Thanks so much for taking the time to respond...it really helps! Best wishes for a great pregnancy!
