I would take it that the more heathier you are before getting pregenct the better off you and your baby will be. Before I got pregect my weight was normal (after losing 110 pounds on my own in the past few years) my heart rate, blood pressue ect all normal. I exercise daily so everything basicly normal. But now uggggg i have 3 kids ages 17...11...10 this baby now at being 40 is kicking my b___t...tired/sleepy all the frinkin time I mean soooo much worse matter of fact everythign is so much worse. My b___bs hurt so much worse ect....I am not even sure if this comes from me being older...question how far along are you? are you feeling anything diffrent more intence so far or is it just me. Question for any older moms over 37

I'm going to be 43 in June and pregnant. We had two m/c prior to this preg. and are now on Prometrium. I'm 7w. I too have older children - 22, 18, 14 with 2 grandchildren. They are all happy for us and think we're crazy at the same time... :) I believe you are as old as you feel. But YES I am feeling some symptoms more prominent w/ this preg. Might be the extra hormones...? I'll be very energetic from about 6:30 - 2:00pm then I seem to hit a brick wall. I have to take a nap and start my snacking!! Best of Luck to all of Us. Our 1st OB is tomorrow morning, better be a good one!

I'm 6weeks and 3 days. My husband is embra__sed about this!

Well I don't think there is anything to be embarrased about. Life circ_mstances don't always let us do things when society thinks we should. I will be 43 at the end of April and we are trying for baby#1...God willing. I think it is fantastic that you are expecting, is this your first one? Samantha

The hard part is my oldest has klinefelters syndrome. It has to do with genetics what are my chances of this one having something wrong??? I'm so scared my best friend lives out of state. I feel llike I'm solo

dunne - April 20

Well I just read about klinefelters syndrome and it says it is not hereditary and may effect 1 in 500-1000 males...does not effect females at all. I guess the chances for you to have another are quite low but maybe you should check with your doctor. Maybe it is something they can test for so you would be prepared.

I just found out today that I'm having a miscarriage. I got up with severe cramps today! I feel terrible. I guess its for the best. Thanks for all the feed back! FYI There is a form of klinefelters that affects girls its called turner syndrome! Just thought you might like to know and the stats are 1 out of 800 males are dignosied with klinefelters!
