Hey everyone. Thanks for your encouraging words. I have been out of town for 2 weeks. I am using the ovulating kit this week..nothing yet.. We are very excited but still nervous. Has anyone had trouble taking the prenatal vitamin? I had no problems with an over the counter brand...my doctor changed me to a prescription and I feel like I can not swallow all day.. it feels like it is stuck in my throat. He says he has never heard of this before, maybe it is psychological.. anybody out there had this wierd not able to swallow feeling all day after taking a prenatal vit.??

Cissy - I have that with other pills off/on, but not specificially my prenatal...Something I did was take it before bed as my kind said to take 1 hr before or 2 hrs after eating. So bedtime seemed to be the best. I don't know if it was coincidental or not, but I didn't have any problems with morning sickness. I did have a few queasy moments in the middle of the night when I would get up to go to the bathroom, but were always mild.

Cissy, I take prescription pre-natals, but they are chewable. Maybe that would help you?

I have not had a problem swallowing after taking anything but have had problems swallowing big pills. That's why if I have a choice, I always choose caplets or capsules instead of pills (unless the pills have a smooth coating). I like Ann's chewable idea. What's wrong with switching back to the over the counter one if you had no problems with that one--why is the prescription one better?

Perl, on the over the counter prenatal vitamins I found (before pg)...they did not have the same amount of vitamins in them...I have heard that 2 chewable flinstones is comparable. Hello Wilma!

Hey guys..I am stil feeling the same strange feeling in my throat.. I know it sounds crazy. I asked the pharmacy about comparing the two pills.. they said there is a little more folic acid and iron in the prescription but no calcium.. I decided to try the over the counter again and see if the feeling goes away. So far after 2 days.. no change. I meet my doctor on Wednesday for my yearly pap so I will ask him when I go. Still nothing on the ovulating kit..BUT today my b___st are killing me..maybe that means I am soon, (as my husband says..) 'about to produce an egg..' wish us luck. I can't wait to write and say guess what.. we are pg...hoping it happens soon... :)
