I am a childless 37 years old with a history of two miscarriages currently seeking to get pregnant. I believe in miracles and I am waiting for one. Tell me about your miracle. Share the hope and the joy. How did you get your baby? I believe we all need to hear these stories. It brings everyone hope.

Hi Beija - I was a childless professional woman... At 36, I started noticing some hormonal changes - instead of normal periods, I started having brownish discharge, it would last between periods, too. I understood it was beginning of pre-menopausal time. I then met the love of my life and conceived two babies, one at 38, the other at 40. It was all natural, the first was unplanned, the second was planned. The father of my kids was in his 50s, so we are really late bloomers. My son and daughter are 3.5 and 2 now, the best thing that happened to us. I have a regular 28-day cycle, nothing like it was at 36. My kids have invigorated my system, I think. There is a great website, too, for women pregnant in their 40s and 50s : pregnancyover44y.blogspot.com

Hi Beija Rene, we ttc for ten years. During that time we did IVF unsuccessfully, and had one natural pregnancy that ended in early miscarriage. We then adopted a beautiful baby boy from South Korea, who is now four. Six months later I was pregnant with our daughter who is now two. We thought that her conception was a miracle that would never happen again, and that was okay with us. But it did happen again and at 40 I gave birth to our baby boy. He is four months old. Don't give up, but be aware that there are other ways of making a family. Adoption our son was the best decision that we ever made, and I think he made me so happy and relaxed that I was able to conceive. I feel so blessed I could burst! Good luck in your journey.
