I have been having a particularly hard pregnancy. I have been looking forward to having the baby soon as all the early ultrasounds I had done point to a September 6 due date. I just saw my doctor again and the last ultrasound he took pointed to a later due date. He hasn't changed my due date, but I was wondering how accurate are the later ultrasounds compared to the early ultrasounds? Anyone had this happen?

I heard that the ones in the first trimester were the most accurate. The middle hardly and then they get better again in the end- here's hoping that all goes well for you and the last part of your pregnany is much easier.

Ultrasounds in first trimester are highly accurate and can be off by 5 days either way. The second trimester can be off up to over a week and a little more and the third trimester can be off by up to two weeks at least because babies grow at diffirent rates by that point. Hope this helps.
