Spotting During Early Pregnancy

I just found out I'm pregnant last week. I missed my period a few weeks ago and I took several test.They are all positive. Today I woke up and I have a little bit of brown spotting when I wipe. Am I ok?

Hi gsarah, Congrats! I actually just asked the advice nurse that very same question literally five minutes ago. She said that is fine. However, if you have painful/bad menstral cramps and a period-like flow, go to the nearest urgent care and/or your ObGyn ASAP. I took my third HPT for good measure....I took about 10 digital pics of all three PPT's for my sc___pbook!

I s[potted brown for about 4 weeks. It seemed to have stopped at week 11 or so. I think so long as it is brown or very light pink you are probably ok. Anything that might be dark red should be told to yourDr.

Gsarah, if the spotting turns to bleeding go to your doctor ASAP. You can never be too safe. I have heard that brown blood "on the wipe" is OK, but if it continues, call your doctor. Congratulations!

I spotted brown weeks 6 through 8 with mild cramping...scared the c___p out of me, but U/S says all normal....doc says it is very common.....try not to worry.....
