I am still crying a lot. At 45 I know the odds are not good for another but am praying that God has one more little one to send to me.

I will pray the same prayer for you as well. We don't always see the big plan God has in his will for our life but we just have to know He is in control through the ups and downs. It is during these times He draws us close. Do you have other children at home that you are taking care of? Do you have any help to get you thru all this? try and get a good night sleep.

It really saddens me to hear your pain Tammy..so sorry to hear of your loss. Just remember there is always hope..but with hope sometimes disappointment comes:( I was just in your position...only.4 months ago but am now pregnant again..I will be 39 when I deliver (if I make it that far.) My gyno's wife delivered her first child at 42 and her second at 45..after 2 miscarriages. If you are healthy overall..you may still be able conceive again:) Or you could get a little help with extracting A quality eggs..via invitro.. that is what my brothers wife did after having 3 miscarriages in a row ..and now she just had twins. She is 39.
God Bless You and Best of luck for your future!

Extracting eggs sounds pretty expensive; how do they know they are "a-quality?"

Well it cost my brother and his wife $15,000, half would have been refunded if it did not work out, and/or they could re-invest for another extraction. They extracted 15 eggs..8 of which were considered "A" quality..had them fertalized and they are now embryos. The remaining embryos are still frozen. They implanted 3 and two took..on the first try.
They now have twins as of Dec 23/05. They are able to tell egg quality through a microscope the same way they can see if sperm are of "A"quality as well. The procedure is expensive yes..but my sister in law saved and saved and so did my brother so they could do this. They are just besides themselves now...they truly feel blessed to have their twins. This is just an option..not for everyone and yes it is costly but how can you put a price on a child?
Take Care

I am new to this board. I posted once before trying to find out about miscarriage symptoms. Tammy, I am sorry for your loss also. I got married last year at 36, we started trying this year and I had a positive pregancy test in February. When the OB gave me the results of the beta (even though I knew on some level that pregnancy had ended) I was all over the map in terms of emotions. Happy we could spontaneously conceive, upset that maybe egg quality will be an issue. Now we are trying again and it is too soon to tell. I have to say thanks to Kristin for her information. I think she is right and this might be a good alternative for you. If I turn 38 with no more pregnancies or another miscarriage, we are thinking of going that route. Also, another thing I would recommend and am doing it myself and that is acupuncture. In Fertility Today there are several articles about the use of acupuncture with infertility. I am doing this. Thanks again Kristin for both of your last posts and Tammy, I am sending positive thoughts your way! laurie
