Can you hear or see our heartbeat with a transva___al ultrasound?

Yes, I believe it can detect a heartbeat earlier than a regular ultrasound.

My OB does v____al ultrasounds every checkup till 12 weeks, and at my 8 week ultrasound/checkup I was able to very clearly see my little ones heartbeat. That is one of the things they are looking for!

Does the blood through your ovaries sound like a heartbeat?
|

I don't know the answer to that one. The heartbeat of a baby is much faster than that of the mother. I would imagine that blood bumping through the ovaries would have the same heartbeat at the mother. Mother's heartbeat would be under 100 while a baby's would be over 120 per minute (unless the embryo has a low heartbeat which is often not a good sign).

The heartbeat can be seen and heard with a tv u/s. However the machine and probe must be equipped with a doppler to hear the heartbeat. These are much more expensive than the regular probe so many drs have a regular probe and an auxillary doppler. The sound of the baby's heartbeat is very different than the sound of the mother's heartbeat. Oftentimes there is an echo, which can mislead an inexperienced technician.

I was told that you could not hear a mother's heartbeat with a tvu. Can a non-pregnant woman hear a heartbeat(ovaries, hers) through a tvu?
