Hi everyone! Has anyone miscarried a vanishing twin? I am 42, 2nd round clomid (after surgery in Jan to clean me up for pregnancy). I had bad pain last weekend - had ultrasound. They saw: 1 normal looking egg, one that looked small/underdeveloped. I have another u/s tomorrow. In the meantime - starting sat night I started bleeding bright red blood - not enough to fill a pad but boy is was bright red. It continued all day Sunday and today it has stopped. My pregnancy symptoms have lessened a bit - my br___ts were SO SORE last week I could barely walk. WE WONDER if we might have miscarried the VT? Other interesting note: I have had no cramps with the bleeding....no clots, tissue...just bright red blood. Any thoughts? Anyone else had this experience? Curious to hear your thoughts.

Redmondsky I know there are some others here who have experienced this recently and may be able to help a MrsShelton on the 2nd Tri board and I think there are a couple of posts on this board. Hope you get some good news at the doctor, I will say a prayer for you and I hope things work out. Let us know and God Bless you.

I am currently 36 weeks, but did experience a vanishing twin with bleeding in the first trimester. I lost a twin at 8 and half weeks, and started bleeding at 10 weeks when the doc took me off my progesterone supplementation. I was examined weekly back then by ultrasound, and the only determination the doc could make as to why I was bleeding, was due to the loss of the twin.
