MY DH and I have been TTC for a year now. I am 39 and currently on my fourth round of Clomid (100mg). I am at my wits end trying to understand why my OB continues to prescribe this drug. I honestly don't think that it is working for me. Does anyone know what the next step should be? Is there another drug out there besides Clomid? I am getting very discouraged...I never realized the emotional toll this can take on a person. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Baby Dust to all!

Sounds like it may be time for you to get a referal to a fertility specialist. While an OB may know enough to prescribe Clomid, which is usually one of the first steps in treating infertility... he or she may not know what the next step is. Unfortunately, with your "advanced maternal age" - I am begining to really dislike that phrase! - you shouldn't waste any time letting your OB fumble around trying to get it right.
