Abnormal Quad Screen Result

HI, im 37 AND SCARED. I GOT MY QUAD SCREEN RESULTS BACK WITH A 1/15 CHANCE FOR DS. I HAD THE FIRST TRIMESTER SCREEN DONE WITH GREAT RESULTS AND MY LEVEL TWO ULTRA SOUND CAME BACK NORMAL. THE DOCTOR SAYS THAT THE CLINIC SHOULD NOT HAVE DONE THE QUAD SCREEN AFTER THE FIRST TRIMESTER SCREEN BECAUSE THE FIRST ONE IS MORE ACCURATE THAN THE QUAD. HAS ANYONE HAD SIMILAR RESULTS? I HAVE NOT YET DECIDED TO DO AN AMNIO BECAUSE OF POSSIBLE PREG. LOSS. I HAVE TWO HEALTHY CHILDREN ALREADY AND THE THOUGHT OF POSS. LOSING THIS BABY IF IT IS HEALTH Y FROM AN AMNIO SCARES ME AMNIO SCARES ME JUST AS MUCH AS POSS. OF DS. I AM 20.5 WEEKS AND I AM NOT SURE IF I CAN DEAL WITH THIS FOR ANOTHER 20. HELP

Kkay: I agree with your doctor. If your first results and ultrasound were normal, try not to worry too much, because I'm sure your baby is very healthy. Best of luck to you.

Hello kkay, I am the person who posted "Positive Quad Screen Result and Scared." Please take a few minutes and read the entries written over the past three weeks. I am 35 and just experienced a similar scenario as to what you describe regarding yourself. It is a very trying time- to receive such uncertain results. I'll check back to see if you post again.
