With my last pregnancy my acne was horrible the first trimester. It seemed to ease up after that. Now I'm pregnant again, but it doesn't seem so bad this time around. I am taking a lot of time to make sure to properly clean my face though.

I can totally relate! I'm eight weeks and I'm pretty sure my acne wasn't even this bad in high school. It's really awful and is making me really self conscious. Karyn, I hope you're right that it clears us after the first trimester. The acne combined with the weight gain isn't making me feel like a glowing mom-to-be. Thank goodness my husband is understanding :) !

My face broke out really bad during the first trimester - big painful cystic acne. However, by the time the third trimester started my skin has never looked so good! I'm just hoping it continues after I deliver.

I had the same problem as all of you. I have one word of advise: Proactive. I used it, and so did a friend of mine with same pregnancy acne, and with both of us, it cleared up in 2 weeks. I hate to advocate anything - but it REALLY worked.

My back broke out really bad after I delivered... When b___st feeding or pregnant you really can use anything to help it. You can use tree tea oil all natural. Ask the Dr.

My OB said not to use Proavtiv (which I used pre-pg) or any other benzoyl peroxide cleaser/treatmen b/c it hasn't been tested on pg women. The FDA has it cla__sified as a cla__s c drug, which we should typically stay away from. I found that Clean and Clear Morning Burst (it's non medicated, but removes oil well) works well for my skin.
