Hi, I'm 36 and due May 8, 2006 (my wedding anniversary), right before my 37th birthday. I have two daughters (12 & 7), so we are trying this one last time for a boy. I will spoil and cherish this new baby no matter what his or her gender is. With so many of us still going are starting at this age, there is no way we'll be the only mature women at graduation.

I'll let you know tomorrow. I am taking a test tonight. I am SO nervous. We've been trying, so I know I will be very disappointed if I am not. But, yes, I am 36 and it will be my first.

I will be 36 when I have baby number 2 in February. We are thrilled that we are having a baby, but my 11 yr. old son is not happy about it at all. He wont talk about it, but I bring it up on occasion to keep him in the swing of things. Anyone else in this situation? It's REALLY HARD to be happy with the pregnancy but battling with the GUILT that my son is heaping on me.

Hi Laura I'm 36 and will be 37 when my second is born. My son is 13 and was a bit scared at the thought of another child that might take his place in my heart. One thing that has really helped was making him a big part of this pregnancy. Bringing him to the doctors appointments (during school holidays) and promising that he can go to the ultrasound appointment has made a big difference. Also we have given him one of the early ultrasound pictures (12wks) which he keeps in his room. He believes the baby looks like an alien... but if this is the worst they I can take it! To be quite honest the picture does! My son now talks to the baby and rubs my stomach. Hope this helps!

wow alot of women my age are just starting out in this.. I am pregnant with my 4th baby.. my first 3 are.. 15, 14 and 12. started at 20 really young and full of energy.. with this one i am due may 12.. scared ,, a little.. I am a little afraid I wont have the energy i did with my other 3. I am pretty sure this will be my last.. my boyfriends first baby, hope he will be satisfied with just one baby..... starting a new life..This means we just get to stay younger that much longer..no time to think about getting old........lol. I am so fricken emotional i just cry reading all your stories.. oh man hate this part.. love your stor Louisa about your 13 yr old rubbing your tummy.my 12 yr old cant wait to teach the baby how to skateboard.. :) its a great idea to take them in for the ultrasound. everyone stay healthy and good luck with your new babies..

Jenn - September 12

angela.. wow you go girl...... your other kids must be kinda shocked.. 25 yr old.. you must look amaising.. the down syndrom freaks me out too..i think knowing about it being aware,, taking your vitamins and extra folic acid.. you should be ok,, i think you need to get a early blood test and /or amnio check. worriing about it isnt going to help your unborn baby though.. think happy thoughts..

I too am 36 and am currently 5 1/2 weeks pregnant with my third child. I have two girls aged 9 and 5 and would really like a boy this time, but so long as its healthy I dont mind. Dont know about you but I feel really nervous something is going to go wrong with this one, maybe it is because I lost a baby three years ago and am experiencing wind pains and mild cramps with this pregnancy, or maybe its because my body is just older?
