If you are only 4 weeks pregnant and your last hcg was 1800..in my opinion (and I am no doctor) that sounds normal. However, normally hcg levels double every 48 hours. If you know the date of conception count from that date..not the start of your last period. The bottomeline is they are increasing and that is good. The spotting can be cause for concern..but it can also be normal too..I too spotted for a few days and my levels were still increasing. You should definitely get a second opinion. My first test 1 day after I found out I was pregnant was 142..my doctor thought that was low but when I went on the website showing averages it seemed ok..On Monday my level was 12500. So mine are increasing I was 5 weeks 5 days post ovulation at that reading. Try this website and get a second opinion..and there is always hope!! www.conceivingconcepts.com / or just type in "HCG levels in pregnancy". Good luck!! Think postively!
