Does anyone know if the heart rate is 160 if that is a girl or boy. I was told a girl It has been so long since my pregnancy that I forget. I know that is not always the case but just curoius. I thought that 160 was a girl

I am pg with girl and she is pretty consistent around 160 - HOWEVER, she has thrown in some 140's as well!! :-) Can't depend on the hb for gender.

You can't go by heart rate. My son's bpm have fluctuated between 168 and 135.

You cannot determine by heartrate. My son started at 160 and some days he's down to 150. It just depends on how active they are when the heartbeat is taken.

Old Wives Tale suggests anything over 140 could be a girl...but there is no evidence that this is true. My babies heartrate has varied too..from 147 to 165. Also, heartbeats tend to be faster in the first trimester and reduce as the pregnancy progresses. So..u r right if you go by the tale it would be a girl..but a ultrasound a second trimester may be able to determine that with more precision. :)

I know they say its and old wives tale, but I am have a girl and she carries around 150.
