Kat34,
There are sperm donors out there who donate sperm for this purpose. Some men can't produce enough sperm to make a baby so couples turn to donated sperm. You can also purchase sperm from a sperm bank and be inseminated that way. It's a great way to go if you don't want to get into a relationship. Same s_x couples do it all the time. Good luck!!! Sue

Heck ya! There are tons of sperm banks available to choose from and they specific purpose is to help single women, or women with infertile partners become pregnant. Baby dust to you and your daughter!

Thanks for your replies, i have looked at sperm banks on the internet and it is £500.00 which at the moment i cant afford that amount of money, thats why i was concidering asking the doctor. I just feel stupid going into the doctors and enquiring about it. kat

I am 43 years old and not had a child 17 yrs. I have been married 6mths. now. My husband and I have been trying to have a baby, but have not been successful. I have been seeing a gynaecologist, and had many test done including an HSG to see if my tubes were blocked.Everything was fine with me. My husband also had a sperm test done, and it was good. I was told that if I was under 40, I could have IVF free from the NHS, but if I wanted it done ,I had to pay and it is very expensive. I had an HSG in Sept. 2005, and got pregnant naturally in Nov. Unfortunately I had a miscarriage in Jan.this year. I think you should make some enquiries from your GP.
