I am 43 and had my 3rd miscarrage on the 27th of March and exactly 28 days later had my first period. thing is I have been testing since day 11 to see if I am ovulating and I am now on day 15 and still haven't ovulated. I am begining to wonder if I ovulated early or is it possible not to ovulate ??????? I have been using the advanced LH ovulation strips

Alison - Hopefully someone will come on and let you know because I need to know too! I am 35 and had my first miscarriage yesterday. I've had irregular periods my whole life and for a brief time used ovulation tests (for 2 months) to see when I ovulated - and the tests always came back negative.

yes, Alison it is very possible to have a period and not ovulate. Actually it is quite common and many women (young women too) can have a cycle or two a year where they do not ovulate. A great book to read is "Taking Charge of Your
Fertility". I have read it a couple of times and used it as a source of reference when I was ttc. I am 39 and after a year of ttc with no luck, I read this book and learned how ignorant I was of my own body and began learning how to read my fertiltiy signs and within 2-3 months I fell pregnant and today I am almost 19weeks. A little more info than you asked but I had to share this great book! (It also has a great section about how women can have periods without ovulating and what you can do about it!)
