Many people exercise during pregnancy...some vigorously. I am not one of those as when I have tried, I have spotted. I am taking it easy but I sure wish I could be doing something.

I exercise 30 minutes on a treadmill or stair climber and then do another 30 minutes of weightlifting for my arms, upper back and legs, careful not to strain during lifting though and lifting a little less than usual is good. I'm in my 9th week of pregnancy and have worked out consistently (except this past week) I have not spotted once. I go to the gym only 3 or 4 times a week, skipping a day in between. Most important thing is listen to your body, stop if you don't feel well or short of breath and if you spot, then you should not go back the next day or just quit for a while or try another form of exercise. My personal trainer told me he has worked with pregnant women up until their 7th or 8th month.
