Having my ultra sound next week. Has any one had a level two ultrasound???

I had one with my 1st son. They are like any other U/S only they look for lots of things. Take a tape and dvd-rw so maybe you can get it recorded. They are quite fascinating.

I had one about 3 weeks ago. It's like a regular ultrasound only it's longer and more detailed. They look at EVERY part of your baby, describing it all along the way. They're looking at his/her anatomy and for markers for any type of abnormality which might indicate a disability, etc. PLEASE note that just because they see a marker DOES NOT mean your child definitely has a disability. For instance, they'll look at the space between your child's big toe and second toe. Some children with Down Syndrome have a greater distance between these toes. However, some children who are typically-developing do too.
