Heartburn And Indigestion

I am 26 weeks having very bad heartburn and indigestion. Eating tums and drinking milk. Hy husband thinks my burps are rude. can't help it. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?

Ask your doctor to prescribe prevacid caps. They are completely safe during pregnancy and they work like a charm. You just pop a pill in the morning and forget about the heartburn!

I am 28 weeks and have the SAME problem. Tums help me, but they seem to cause another issue for me (constipation). I prefer the heartburn any day!! So I try to just deal with it (keeps me up at night, too). I've heard that Pepcid is safe and works well, but I haven't tried it. On the burping, I just do it out loud in front of my husband. When it is a big one, he says something like, "Nice!" and then we laugh about it. I admit that I sound rude, but it seems to come up more easily than if you try to keep it quiet. Thanks ann1, I am glad I am not the only one and its all in my head.. Constipation is also another biggie for me too. I will try the loud.... burping Hah I bet he will just shake his head.... Wait until the gas gets worse (the farts.) I will make sure to let loose..... When are you due. My due date is March 18. Do you have any other children?.. I have 4. ages 21, 18, 16 and 18 months.....

Kathy, wow, you have lots of experience with this over a long period of time, too! This is my first baby, and he is due on February 26th, but I am having a c-section on February 21st. I had gas in my first tri, and I really hope that doesn't come back--so embara__sing!! I will be happy if I just keep burping.:) Do you know if you are having a boy or girl?
