Hi all,
I am turning 40 this year and I have one daughter. I visited my doctor because I wanted another baby but she discouraged me. I am overweight and hypertensive at 130/90 and taking Losartan. It makes me really sad that my doctor would not help me find a way to make it okay to be pregnant. She doesn't want me to take the risk as she fears of my life. I feel so devastated. Please enlighten me.

Hello,
Don't get disheartened if your doctor suggested not to get pregnant. It is actually risky to get pregnant if you are overweight and have BP problems too. Its better you take proper diet and lose your weight. According to studies fertility decreases with the age, as the age increases the fertility reduces. As you are turning 40, the possibility is very less that you conceive naturally, but if not you can take IVF treatment or surrogacy to have baby. Visit best fertility expert who will suggest you other alternate ways to get pregnant.
