May Be Expecting A Child With A Disablility

Hi.. I'm 40 and 7 1/2 mos pregnant. I have a 12 yr old son with a rare genetic disorder that is only passed to boys. So we were definitely hoping this one would be a girl. Alas, two ultrasounds say it's a boy. This one has a 50-
50 chance of being affected or perfectly healthy. (we are, of course, hoping for 'healthy') But we are already crazy about him, no matter what. I was just wondering if there were other expectant moms out there that are facing possible "challenges" with their
soon to be babies...and how they were coping, emotionally?

Phew very sad new to hear maybe your little one could be born with the same problem. I know a mother who had three kids who have fds symdrom. Same symptoms as fetal alcohol symdrombut only called fetal dylanatin symdrom due to elipisy(sp) in the mother
