This is weird and think missed opportunitty.......I always o between 18-20, so bought my opks, and last night was 14 and this a.m is 15. So was going to test day 15,16,17,18,19,20. Our packs here only have 5 days. So last night after thanksgiving celebrations, we went to bed, tired, and dh wants to bd, so we do. Right after, I get this horrible leg cramp and spend 1/2 hr right after, immediately right after, walking around, jumping up and down to get rid of my cramp. The whole time I'm thinking, don't worry about the sperm coming out because it isn't the "night" anyhow. I get up this a..m to do my first day15 opk and its TOTally a surge, dark as anything. So, I'm stressing cuz I never lied flat or elevated, I JUMPED UP AND DOWN for a half hour to get rid of my leg cramp. Gosh!!! So, now my kiids are up, we can't do it again till tonight or tommorw a.m. My dark line is now, is tonight to late???? The only positive thing is that we hadn't bd in almost 3 weeks since last time, so dh says it was a good one.lol. is it to late now do you think? Gosh, if this had been last night montjh, we started bding to early at cd10 and didn't o till 20, now this month o on cd14 and didn't start till now, too late. THIS IS SO CRAZY! Anyhow, you girls are lucky you are already pregnant now, this is going to drive KD and I crazy-lol. Glad to hear everyone is well, Glad to hear hopeful you are not finding out gender. With my kids I did and with my last ds, they made a horrible mistake. Right up until the very end they told me he was a she. We had decorated ands everything, I was very upset and this time around if I get pregnant, I will definately not find out as last time I was shocked. This is our 6th month our trying and I guess i could go in and get checked as well. my problem with that, is that they will automatically say weight related I think. Lets hope this is the month and that won't be an issue. Hope you all have a great day XOXO

LM3---I don't think it's too late, just make sure you get some nookie tonight for sure. Your surge line doesn't necessarily mean you have already ovulated, so I think you are good to go. DH is home sick today with a cold. I'm sure you all know how men are when they get sick. Poor me syndrome. I have had tons of colds that have gone unnoticed since we met, but I have had to go out and get him tissue, cold meds, lozenges.............oh Lord! Wish me luck.

lovemy3 - October 9

Thanks Tracey, Sorry to hear about dh's cold. men are not good patients..thats for sure-lol. How exciting you are having twins. That must be very exciting. Are these your first babies? I have 3 other children, ages 11, 5 and 3. Hope you have a good day and take good care of that dh of yours-lol!

COL - October 9

Hello ladies, sorry I did not post before but I was so busy with my family lately. VAL, I understand your point about the miscarriage part, I totally agree with you, and same with us here, we are trying to take one day at the time; I am s scared and terrified and trying to think positive, but sometimes I fall. Hopeful, yes you are right, each one of us has her own views about such issues and we suppose to support each other in any dissection we make. I can’t wait to have my first u/s to see what they have for me, I got excited when I read your description of your baby and Sann too, it must a historical moment for both of you. LM3, its not too late at all, actually this is exactly what happened with me the month I got pregnant, the difference is we did not bd after that, I got my surge after that day. KD, sorry AF arrived, but don’t give up and keep having fun, it will happen sooner than you think. I hope this month is yours and LM3. Tracy, I can relate strongly to sick DH issue, when he gets sick he drives me crazy, he acts like a baby or worse, loool. Those men they have to admit that we are more resilient than they are, what do you think? Am sorry for the hard time you are going through, but look at the end results, you will have 2 cute little ones, its worth it. Sann, I know you are away, but how you are doing, and hope the baby is behaving, and your symptoms are easing a little bet. Regards, knowing the s_x of the baby, I am still debating, should we know or should we not, I think we are more leaning into not knowing, its hard when you see those little outfits, and you would like to know so you can buy them or not. My updates, I am 6 weeks tomorrow, so far so good, I have been tired and bloated for the last 2 days, by the way, I noticed I eat more, is this normal? Its not I am worried about my weight or something, but this is too much, I am always hungry lool. Anyway, I think I talk too much. Wish every one having a good time, TTYL.

lovemy3 - October 9

Col...Hard to believe you are at 6 weeks already. How exciting. I am so excited for you too. You are right when you say its hard to see those little outfits and not want to know. Its a tough call for sure. it will be exciting for you when you see the ultrasound. What a moment it is to see you baby for the very first time in your tummy. Very overwheming I thought. Who knows maybe you will be blessed with twins as well. As far as the eating part goes you may very well be more hungry, its hard to remember 3 yrs back for me now-lol. take care XOXO

Tracy88 - October 9

COL----being hungry is very normal. When I was at my sister's in Indiana I had horrible menstrual cramps (implantation) and food suddenly became like air to me. I had to have it immediately. I have been that way ever since. I feel weak and shaky and sick if I don't have food. LM3----knowing I am having twins hasn't seemed quite real to me yet except in my dreams. For the past few nights, I have had dreams in which I am telling people, "Yah, it's twins!" I also still have fear that I will go for an U/S and one of them will have vanished. The doc says the most common time to lose a twin is between weeks 5 and 10, so I am just taking it easy. Today marks week 8.

KD - October 9

lovemy, My opk's say that once you see the surge, you should wait 24 hours before having intercourse but no more than 48 hours. If that's the case, than you should be fine. Tomorrow morn will only be 24 hours from surge, so tomorrow night should be well within the 48 hrs but long enough to build up sperm count, but then again, I wasn't successful, yet. Good luck

lovemy3 - October 9

Tested thids a.m and was very obvious dark line--surge. Tested adain at 4:30pm and now the line is very faint- an obvious No surge. This a.m was first morning urine. This aftrernoons was held for at least 4 hours. Do you think that was my ovulation surge? I don't want to keep testing if that was it, like I said before I never have gotten a surge prior to CD18 before. Now that the line is gone to faint again, should we still bd or does that mean when it goes back to faintg ovulation is done or could it still be coming but the initial "surge" is over. So confused!!

Tracy88 - October 9

LM3-----Get nookie tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I always found that the worst feeling was not knowing if I had s_x at the right time, so cover all your bases. When I did my trigger shot my IUI's were done the morning before I ovulated and the morning that I was actually ovulating. I believe you need to get it now.

lovemy3 - October 9

Tracy-lol. 2 hours till countdown-lol. getting all kids bathed and into bed!! Gosh I hate this!! Talk about all consuming! Lets hope for all our sakes this is it-lol XOXO

Val - October 9

Hi ladies! Well, good news at the u/s today... HB was 148 bpm, which the doctor said was very good. I'm still only 7 weeks today and have a ways to go to get out of the 1st tri, but at least that hb is much better than last time I was pg (the hb then was only 99bpm.) They were really nice at the dr's office and gave me (well, the bean, actually) a small gift - a silver spoon! Tomorrow they'll send my chart to the OB's office, and I imagine the ob will want me to come in for bloodwork soon. The only unexpected news was that I have a fibroid in my uterus. Guess I'll be researching that... the dr said not to worry and that it probably won't cause problems, except possibly some pain, but that the ob would monitor it. COL, I was starving during weeks 4-5. The hunger sort of went away last week, mostly due to the nausea, but I think hunger is causing the nausea. It's such a catch-22. I had a great sandwich today - it was nice to find something to eat! I just haven't wanted to eat anything I cook. I made lentils last night but ended up feeding them to my chickens this morning! KD, sounds like you are starting to feel better? I hope so... TRACY, that's pretty funny about your dreams! I had a scary dream last night about a nuclear bomb. Probably because of the N Korea test news. Scary. KD, get busy girl! When we got pg, I think we bd'd twice during the 24 hours after my surge showed up. I agree with the conversation about finding out the baby's s_x, and that it's definitely a personal decision. I think we'll probably opt to find out... I figure meeting the baby will be a big enough surprise for us. I don't think I can go that many months without knowing! Man, the guy who owns the music shop where I teach made me so mad today. I'm friends with him and so I told him last week that I was pg (since I wasn't feeling very well that day), and asked him not to say anything. After I shared my u/s news today with him, he said I was having a boy. Well, we really want a girl (although I'm sure I'll be happy if it's a boy) and it ticked me off that he started spouting off about it unasked, and then was acting like it was the holy truth or something. (He correctly predicted the s_x of the drum teacher's baby, so he thinks that makes him an expert.) Then to top it off, whenever I walked by the front counter of the store, he yelled out "hey, mom!" This was when there was an employee and some customers there, and after I had said that we wanted to not make it public knowledge yet. Grrrrr. He really ticked me off. If he starts that cr*$ again tomorrow, I'm going to have to tell him off. I'm totally regretting telling him - I know he's going to make comments every day from now until May. Ok, sorry, this is turning into a long post/rant... guess I needed to get that out! I am really happy about the hb, and am feeling still cautiously optimistic. ttyl...

Thats great news val, good heartbeat. Glad to hear all is well. Thats really nice they give you a little spoon. I've never heard of that before. Don't let that guy you work with bug you too much. Most people have know idea how annoying they are. If he starts it up again, I'd definately say something so it doesn't get on your nerves everyday. When is your next ob appoinment? Can you pick your own ob or does your family dr refer you to who they want? Not much is going on here. We did get to bd last night, but I',m paranoid it was too late. never expected to o this early. By the time we bd last night the surge line from the morning was almost completely gone. Like I said, I only tested on cd15, not 14 so I don't know how long the line was there for. But we also bd the night before I knew the line was there so thats good. I also noticed on cd13 EWCM for the first time but becuase I am too wrapped up in these tests I thought, oh no that can't really be cuz i never o till cd18 or later,...that will teach me not to pay attention to my own body! lol. Anyhow, everyone pls pray this is the month, I'm finding this way too stressful and am ready to call it a day. XDOXO So let the 2ww begin, its officiallly started.lol XOXO Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

This is crazy-----now again this a.m I checked my opk surge line and it is just as extremely dark as it was yesterday a.m. To me, an obvious positive BUT when I tested yestreday at dinner time it was almost gone it was so faint. So- yesterday a.m DARK< DARK, yesterday at dinner FAINT as anything, then today a.m- DARK, DARK,. How can this be?

Tracy88 - October 10

Val I'm so glad you had a good U/S and that this experience is already turning out to be better than your last. That guy you work with at the store sounds a little immature. I've known people like him before and they can be annoying. Can I tell you though, I have told my mom secrets before and told her not to tell anyone, and next thing I know the whole family knows, etc..... Now that's sad! LM3----glad to hear you had some pa__sion in your life last night. I think it's great that you had EWCM a few days ago. That's always a good sign. I realize you said your OPK's only come 5 in a pack, but you should really spend the money and buy 2 packs and start testing on cd10 or 12 all the way through ovulation. You won't ovulate at the same time every month and sometimes you may be missing it completely. I learned that the hard way. Occasionally I would ovulate as early as cd9 and sometimes as late as 15 or 16. I just a__sumed I was ovulating regularly. Well, I am going to lay back down. I wake up so tired every day.

lovemy3 - October 10

Thanks Tracey, This month I certainly learned that lesson and will buy 2 packs next month. Take care of yourself and get some rest. How do you sleep at night, are you restless? XOXO

Hopeful and excited - October 10

Hello all! Sorry for being silent for a few days - I have been reading your posts but just haven't had the news (or energy!) to reply. KD - hope you're feeling better today and enjoying the caffeine and heavy object lifting (VERY FUNNY - I laughed out loud to that one!!) I think you're spot on to consider going for a check up next time if nothing happens as it will help to put your mind at rest I'm sure. Val - So glad your ultrasound went well. Great news!! Don't worry about the fibroid - leave that to the doctors to monitor and only worry if they start to. I'm sure it will be fine - a friend of mine had one and she has a lovely and healthy 18 month old now!! In answer to your question - I run my own business (with my husband) which is great normally as I can choose when I work. It's just that last Friday was a "no choice" day and so therefore reeeeeeeeeeeally busy. Horrible. I was on my feet for far too long and I still think I'm getting over it now - 4 days later!!!! Still, my husband doesn't ask often and after this experience probably won't ask again until mid-way through next year!!!! LOL!!!!! lovemy3 - BLIMEY - you've been busy over the last few days!!!!!!!! It certainly sounds like something is happening even if you're confused about the timing. It also seems to me that you're b-ding plenty so I wouldn't worry about it too much. The EWCM sounds VERY positive and that's definitely something you should try to keep track of if you can! Keep enjoying yourself - that's the main thing. As always - I'm rooting for you on your 2ww and can't wait to hear some good news! Col - feeling hungry all the time? That's EXACTLY how I felt in the first few weeks and I still get it now but not so often. I think it's actually a form of morning sickness as if I leave it for too long I can start feeling light-headed or queesy and eating is the only thing that gets rid of it (like someone said already - protein seems to knock it on the head!!) Tracy - so sorry to hear that the m/s is still bad. I have a feeling that it's normally worse for twins so it sounds like you could be in for a rough ride. Try to rest, stay hydrated and keep some glucose tablets with you all the time - they're refreshing and "hit the spot"! Hope everyone is well. I'm exhausted with backache but other than that - fine. Just waiting for my scan on 23rd. Can't wait to see the bean again. Must go - work is calling!! TTYL!
