Hopeful and excited - December 6

Quick hello! (Lots to do before going away tomorrow!) Tracy - great to see you posting more often. We miss you when you're not here! Hope the headaches and anxiety are easing off. Perhaps the two are related and once you're rid of one the other will also disappear. Hope so. lovemy3 - glad to hear you sounding more positive again and back to your old self. Have fun with your b-ding! You too KLM - sounds like you might be onto a winner. Keeping my fingers crossed for all TTC-ers as always. Val - I hope everything is fine with you and your bean and that you're resting well and ENJOYING IT!! I can't wait to hear your update and remember, by the time you hear from me again, you'll already be half-way through the wait for the results. It'll fly by and everything will be great - don't worry. Me? Yesterday went Christmas shopping and got most of my stuff. Hubbie and I decided that we'd buy each other a present "for bean" but when it came to it I just couldn't get anything. Anyone else having this problem? I just feel like it's too early and I have no idea where to start? Is this normal? On the bright side - I'm pretty sure the weird sensations I'm having at night are becoming more frequent so I think it won't be long before I'll be convinced that it's bean saying "Hello!" Maybe s/he'll give me some idea then of what s/he'd like for Christmas!!! LOL!! Hope so! Anyway - must go. Speak to you all next week sometime (maybe as late as Thursday in which case I'll have had my Level 2 and so will have some REAL news to update you with!! LOL!) Take care all and big hugs, belly rubs and baby dust to all!!!!!!!!!!

Val - December 6

Hi all... well the amnio wasn't so bad, and we were able to find out that we're having a BOY! They did a long u/s before the amnio to do measurements and make sure I was ready for the amnio. (Apparently the sac has to be touching the uterine wall, which usually happens by 15 weeks.) He was measuring big by about 4-7 days on most measurements which made me wonder if that's why the NT measurement was big. After the u/s the Dr came in to do the amnio. It definitely hurt more than I expected but it was bearable. And I've just been resting since then. I don't really have to go anywhere until Friday afternoon for an hour of teaching, so I'm reading a book on Attachment Parenting and working on some crochet projects. KLM, glad your temps look good. HOPEFUL, I hope you have a great trip! LM3, I'm thinking good thoughts for you. SANN, thanks for all your encouragement. ANd thanks to everyone for all your good wishes! Oh, my other good news is that I finally started taking Unisom (my dr recommended it) and I haven't puked the last 3 mornings - yay! ttyl...

Tracy88 - December 6

Val, my doc told me a long time ago that I could take a combo of Unisom and Vitamin B6 for the nausea, but that was when I was on Prometrium and already slept a lot, so didn't know how much more sleepiness/sedation I could handle. I am so glad to hear it's working for you though. I have been having some restless nights lately, so some Unisom sounds really good now! I'm having so much strange pressure way down low now. I think it's the belly growth starting to weigh down. Four more days till Level 2!!!!! But who's counting????

SANN - December 7

Hello everyone : ) VAL --- Congrats : ) on having a baby boy. I'm so glad amnio went well and you've been resting : ) Re : NT measurement being big .... I think that's the reason causing those false positives for women over35. You know what my girlfriend/neighbour(had her baby girl in April 05) was in the same boat as you. She went ahead with amnio and results came back fine. Her baby girl is now a healthy 19-20 mths old and she's growing so well she looks like a darling 2 year old. By the way, when will you be having the Level 2 u/s done? LOVEMY3 --- Sending you tonnes of baby dusts : ) KD --- How's things with you? HOPEFUL --- Have a wonderful trip : ) TRACY --- I must have missed your post, great to hear feeling better. Hope your headaches goes away completely. KLM --- Temps still climbing? Happy bding : ) Belly rubs and baby dusts to all : )

Ok, now I'm having sinus pressure that is giving me an earache! Damn if it's not one thing it's another. It really doesn't help that I am allergic to every plant and tree in Florida. That's one reason why I want to move up north so bad. I feel bad but I went ahead and hired a maid to come to my house just once. Since being on bedrest I feel like this place is not as clean as it would be if I weren't incapacitated for so long. I will do all the light stuff but I am going to have her scrub my bathrooms and floors. I just refuse to do anything that involves chemicals or straining. Well, hope you all are well. I will check in on you guys throughout the day.

lovemy3 - December 7

Good morning all. Tracy..thats awful about your ear and sinus. Gosh, too bad we could switch places...I have to shovel my driveway still this a.m-lolol. Less than 2 weeks though and I will be headed to the sunny south!! Don't feel bad, I have a cleaning lady that comes once a week and have no reason!! LOL. Enjoy!! Sann, glad to hear from you, thanks for your encouragement. We bd last night and am cd13 today. Test day is Christmas morn, praying for my miracle gift!! Hugs to all.

KLM - December 7

Hi all, My hubby and I have not started to try again yet but I think this weekend would be a good time to try. Lovemy3 I am not sure when my next af is because I have not had af since I was pregnant last year with my 10 month old but since I have started charting my temps again I would say so far that at least I think that I am ovulating again so we are going to start trying this weekend again and hope for the best!!! Good luck to all again!!

3 whole days till my Level 2. I'm a wee bit nervous. I'm excited to see how the baby is doing and hopefully the gender, but I always get nervous before U/S's. I've been very bored lately. I wish I could work more or had a hobby. I don't even have friends that live near me. I'm always alone and it sucks. My sisters even live out of state. I need human interaction so I always go shopping but after Christmas I'll have no excuses. Val, how's the belly???? Quiet day yesterday, how are the rest of you?

babymakes5 - December 8

Hi everyone, I'm back! I'm sorry about MIA, I've been having a really hard time lately (nothing to do with pg) and under a lot of stress. But I got great news yesterday and things are finally starting to look up. I won't go in to all of the details, but we were on the verge of not having anywhere to live. I was afraid I was going to have to give my kids up to their dad, which would have horrified them, and possibly living with friends. I've had my kids for 4 wks straight because their dad and stepmom were on vacation. When they got back, they needed a couple of days to unwind before taking them back. It was really sad to think they didn't want to see the kids right when they got back. It would have been hard for me to even go that long without seeing them. And the sad thing was that the kids still didn't even want to see them too. It breaks my heart, but all I can do is give them all the love they deserve in my home. So, that being said it would've really upset the kids if they would've had to stay with them permanently. Anyways, we found a house to live in and have to move in the next 3 wks (right after Xmas!), which won't be fun in cold Wisconsin, but I'm thankful to be able to do it. After much prayer, I feel as if my family has been saved. I have much to be thankful for this xmas now! As far as pregnancy goes, I am 12w 5d and already my SPD has kicked in which is not good. I'm already limping around. Last pg it didn't hit until about 16w so I'm little worried about that and fear I may be bed ridden before it's all over, but we'll hope for the best! Welcome KLM and wish you the best of luck! I'm so envious LM3 of your warm southern vacation! I've always dreamed of doing that at Xmas with the kids, I hope you enjoy it! Tracy-glad to hear your back too, but sorry to hear you're so lonely. That's definitely no fun. I'm also envious of your level 2 coming up, it'll be awesome to see the bean and I'm sure it'll go fine! Val, I'm glad your amnio went well and hope you're still kicking back a little. Looking forward to hearing the great results! :) Sann-done any shopping yet. For me it would be a big fat No. Hard to find the time between work and the kids. Sorry if I missed anyone-hope all is well with everyone. Oh yeah, my 16 yr old got his license a week ago-very exciting! He's already been helping out with errands and so far he's happy to do it--we'll see how long that lasts-LOL. Belly rubs and baby dust to all...

SANN - December 8

Hi ladies : ) Hope you're all doing well. LOVEMY3 --- I'm praying for a surprise gift for you too : ) Keep up the bding and have fun : ) BABYMAKES5 --- So glad you checked in (was wondering how you were). I'm so happy that things are looking good on the home front and your 16 yr old is helping you out ... so sweet : ) Re : Christmas shopping .... still haven't gotten any presents yet so that's a big fat No for me too. The malls are so crowded with shoppers everyday, I'm so afraid if I shop alone .... they bum into my belly or I get pushed over by them that I haven't done any serious shopping yet. My Dh said to wait for him to go shopping with me this weekend ... hopefully I get it all done : ) KLM --- Good luck with trying this weekend : ) Have a great weekend ladies : )

Val - December 8

KLM, good luck and have fun! (I know my dh misses the s_x from the ttc days!) TRACY, sorry about the sinus pressure/earache. Seems like one thing after another! Having someone do some cleaning sounds like a great idea. I've been pondering doing that starting in March or so if it's not too expensive. Maybe every other week or something. Or even once a month would be helpful! Have you considered any hobbies to take up? Or started decorating the nursery yet? I started on a small Lorax painting yesterday - I think it's going to be a really great nursery theme! SANN, good luck with the shopping. I think I get to completely avoid malls this season - yay! Can't stand them, especially this time of year. All that muzak and ma__s-produced stuff! We're going Christmas shopping at a weekly artisan/craft fair in Portland this weekend... I usually find great gifts there and I love that the artist gets all the money for their work! The rest of my shopping will probably be online or in one of the little downtown areas where I work or near where I live. BM5, wow, it sounds like you've been going through a lot recently. Good luck with the move. What is SPD? Not much new with me. I was trying not to take the unisom very often (last time was on Tuesday night) but had a bad puking episode first thing today so I think I'll take it again tonight. Every other night seems to work ok, although I do seem a little nauseous on the 2nd day. Still taking it easy - just have to teach 3 students today (one comes to my home which is totally easy), and then we're going to dh's work party tonight. Tomorrow is my first full day back. It's been nice having this break, but I only have one more full week after this and then I'm off for 2 weeks for the holidays. I may not get a chance to post again until Sunday, so I hope everyone has a great weekend!

lovemy3 - December 8

Hello all,BM5, thats good your housing has all worked out, that must have been stressful. Sann, glad to hear you sound well. I',m not much of a shopper either but here its not so packed, very small town!! Its not too stressful to go out. Val...you sound good too, you sound like you have great taste!! Nothing to report here, cd14, no cm yet, I should o around day 20 but I didn't get any opk's so who knows. Getting ready for vacation, switched currency, travel insurance etc. Getting some stuff organized for the kids to do in the car. Its a 24 hour drive so...you can imagine. Thank goodness our minivan has a DVD player in it!! I'm so hoping and praying this is the month. It would be so, so exciting to be in Disney with the kids and get a bfp Christmas morning. Gosh, it would be such an amzing Christmas gift, it would make this whole past year worth it!! Last year we moved and we specifically bought a new house that had 5 bedrooms. Most around here are 2 storey homes have 4 bedrooms upstairs, so it took awhile to find a model with 5 upstairs but we did. So now we have gotten all the painting done and there sits the "lone" bedroom. Nobody in it, its just waiting.lol. Unpainted, unlived in. Just waiting-lol. It reminds me of my inferility every time I walk past it. I guess it could be a guestroom, but it really had a purpose . I never dreamt would be an issue. I often still can't believe I'm not pregnant yet. Just so darn weird. Anyhow, enough of my griping. We are going out for a family dinner tonight and to see Santa so that will be fun. Have a great weekend everyone, Hugs.

lovemy3 - December 8

KD...everything ok? Miss ya, just KLM and I ,the lone ttcers-lol.
