Just thought our old thread was long... Have a great day!!

Hopeful and excited - October 16

Hello all! lovemy3 - So sorry to hear about your controlling mum, her nasty comments and the unwanted holiday plans. I think this has to be the month for you just so you can enjoy it when she gets really p*ssed at having to retract everything!! I didn't have any implantation symptoms but it sounds like if you did "o" on CD14 then this could quite easily be implantation cramps. I hope so!!!!!!!!!!!! However, the tiredness you're feeling was DEFINITELY a symptom I had early on so don't give up yet!! How is everyone else today? Where are you?!!!! Update soon pleeeeeeeeeeeeease! TTYL - Big hugs to all.

LM3, I think anyone who does injectables or IVF at my doc's clinic gets put on some sort of progesterone supplementation. You start the day after you ovulate and continue until you get a positive or negative blood test. If you get a positive you take them until the end of your first trimester. It helps to keep the uteran lining thick enough for implantation to occur and then to sustain the little beans. Most women don't need it, but if you've spent thousands of dollars on treatments and have a history of low or average levels post ovulation, they will supplement it just in case you do need it. Well, I need to go run a few errands, so I'll check back later i hope.

Just thought I'd mention for the rest of you that LM3 asked me about progesterone on the other thread. No, I'm not popping up with conversations out of nowhere!!!!

Thats funny tracy, all is well here, except now I have the "grouchy" mood that also comes the night before af. Maybe its just because of my mother-lol. Gosh, I hope its not af. I think is the month I have wanted this the most. **Sigh**. Have a good night everyone, thanks for listening, XOXO

Val - October 16

hi ladies! I posted earlier today, but I guess my computer connection burped (not unlike me - can't stop burping!) and it didn't go through. LM3, I feel for you in your stress about ttc... but as I think Tracy pointed out, just know that it can take 6-12 months for everything to fall into place, especially as we get older! You might want to consider getting some basic testing done (sperm, fsh, etc.) just to ease your mind and find out if there is anything going on. But I'll bet it's just a matter of time. (Not that it makes the waiting any easier!) Sorry about your mom... I have a very manipulative mother as well, so I can relate. I always hoped things would get better as I got older, but that doesn't seem to be the case. TRACY, it sounds like you are starting to feel better - I'm glad! Are you about 9.3 weeks? My good friend here is close to where you are and her m/s has improved this week. Mine has worsened - I've puked twice now and come close many times! Every day seems a little worse. I think I may go get a B vitamin shot from my OB tomorrow... they offered to do those weekly for m/s, and I think I may need to do it. Working is getting more and more difficult. Luckily, I only have 2 more days this week. COL, SANN, KD, LORI ANN, how are you all doing? HOPEFUL, sounds like you are doing well! Well, I'm 8 weeks today and starting to feel a little more optimistic, but still cautious. With all my symptoms, it definitely feels like things are moving along. I'm happy that dh got back (at 2am!) this morning from a 10-day work trip, his last of the year. Yay! Hugs to everyone... ttyl...

lovemy3 - October 17

Good morning Ladies. seems like everyone is doing. I'm so happy veryones pregnancies are moving along well, and all seems to be healthy and doing so great, other than the m/s. I know alot of women say that it is part of the deal, but its horrible and I really feel bad for those who get it, I had it too and my heart goes out to you. Its yucky. Kd, where abouts are you in your cycle? Seems this a.m that my af symptoms are gone, lets hope so. Things are better here today, due to a new outlook. I have my dh and kids, and am thankful for those great relationships. take care have a great day

Tracy88 - October 17

Val, I must be feeling a bit better because I am findng myself at the computer more now and I haven't had the urge to puke in the evenings for days. I still feel nauseous, but not gagging. Oh I hope I am lucky and it is pa__sing. Nice to hear your DH finally got that trip done and now he can be here for you at least through the end of the year. Sorry to hear your morning sickness is not so great, but that's how I felt last week, so hope could be right around the corner! Seems like now I just have to make sure I eat, which let me tell you, with twins it is very hard to keep up with my own appet_te. I started this pregnancy at 126 pounds and am already up to 134. Seems like all I do is eat. LM3, nice to hear you are being more optimistic this morning. Val is right though, sometimes it just takes us older gals a wee bit longer to get PG than our younger counterparts. TTYL

lovemy3 - October 17

Tracy..glad to hear you aren't gagging..thats a good sign. val...you must be happy dh is home with you, thats great. Nothing going on here, just doing our thing. ttyl

Hopeful and excited - October 18

Hi all - just checking in. Nothing special to report - just counting the days for the NT appointment on Monday. lovemy3 - sounds positive that the AF symptoms came and went - could be that it was actually implantation. Fingers crossed for you!!! Val - Sorry about your puking and burping but, as you say, at least it's a symptom that you can hold on to and everything seems to be moving along nicely. My symptoms are much less now (trying not to worry!!) but I've pa__sed the point of my last pregnancy so I'm very happy about that. Glad you got your dh back - that will be a nice support for you now when you really need it too! Tracy - you sound well despite having no time to do anything else but eat!! (I was a bit like that but then I've always loved my food!! LOL!!) Wonder where KD, Sann and the rest are? Hope all is well. TTYL!

lovemy3 - October 18

Good morning all, Hope everyone is well. Same old, same old. cd24 and waiting. Col, KD, are you girls still out there? Hope all is well with you. So, have you pregnant ladies picked up any items for the new baby yet? If you have what have you bought?

Tracy88 - October 18

LM3, I work at Pottery Barn Kids, how could I not have picked up a few things yet??? LOL I actually got a frame that's called "my first year" and there are 12 slots in it, in which you put a picture of baby once a month for the first 12 months. Well, little did I know I was going to have two babies, so now I am going to have to make sure that some of the baby's pics are always taken together! That's easy to do, I just wish now that I had two frames. Hopeful, my first NT appointment is on November 6th, so I have a few weeks to go. You are lucky you are so close. By the way, I love food too, but right now my body only wants certain things so I am eating the same c___p over and over again. I haven't felt well enough to eat good meals or shop very well, so we have been eating organic frozen foods from Whole Foods. The most I've cooked is scrambled eggs. TTYL

lovemy3 - October 18

Hi Tracy, I just bought these really cute plastic plates with alphabet letters on them from Pottery Barn kids. I LOVE that store, I love all there stuff, but it costs a fortune the day I shop there!! How are you feeling about your NT scan in november? Do they have any different guidelines for twins or anything? What are the incidence of twins? I heard that they were higher in older than 35 yr old moms. Is that true and why?

KD - October 18

Hi All, I've been trying to find the time & energy to write, but it seems like every time I read your posts I login to comment & something comes up...usually my DS! Lovemy3 I'm so outraged at your mother. I know I'm a few days behind & your getting past it, but I too know about manipulating Moms, so I extra irked! As many other ladies here posted...It's not about her, it's about you & your husband. I'm sure somewhere in her mind she's truly looking out for your best interest, but her thoughts on what your best interest is & what really is can be miles apart. Once again, gotta go. DS just woke up from nap. Update on me....nothing. Had AF for like 10 days. Really weird. lots of clear mucus mixed w/ bright red blood all 10 days.TMI. So I have no idea where I'm at. Gotta go get some more OPK's & start checking for ewcm. More later. Have a good day

lovemy3 - October 18

Hey KD, Glad you are well. WEeird about your af for so long. Mines too short and yours long-LOL Don't worry about it, we all have a weird cycle here and there. Thanks for your support with my mom, she drives me crazy. And we aren't going to go, but I am looking so forward to our Disney trip over Christmas with just dh and my kids, very excited about that. Long drive but it will be fun. Keep us posted with your OPks, Keep in touch or I'll be the lone ttcer! ttyl

SANN - October 19

Hi all : ) How has everyone been? Part 3 ... I must had missed out quite a bit again. Wish I could post more often but I've been stuck with work (working from home). Lovemy3 - Though I'm a little late ... Sorry about the incident with your mom : ( I guess we'll always be mommy's little girl no matter how old we are ... that explains the "controlling" part that's in all "controlling" moms .... trust me I have my fair share too. How many more days till you start testing? Any other symptoms besides feeling tired? Feeling sleepy in the evening when you normally won't : ) Tonnes of positive thoughts to you : ) Hopeful - Sounds like you are doing fine : ) Have you been feeling any different lately? Tracy - You also sounds like you are doing better too : ) Are you still on bedrest? Wow .... you have already started shopping : ) I haven't bought any yet. We went shopping last weekend but I didn't find any maternity clothes that I fancy : ( Val - Hope you are feeling better? M/s will be winding down soon ... hany in there : ) And I also glad your dh is done with traveling for the year. Take plenty of rest and eat as soon as you feel hungry ... it'll worsen the m/s (it works for me). KD - Sorry about af and having it for 10 days .... nasty : ( Let's hope this is a good sign that the uterus is clearing itself out : ) I can't recall exactly but my Tcm physician said something about af lasting longer than usual ... it's our body clearing itself. Good luck : ) COL and the rest - How have you been? My updates ... nothing much except for my stuffy nose and feeling thristy all the time. I'm now 13.4 weeks (still a little worried) and my next u/s and followup with my ob/gyn is tomorrow : ) Wish me luck !!!! Baby dusts and belly rubs to all : ) TTYL

lovemy3 - October 19

Hi sann, Sounds like you are doing well. The stuffy nose thing is very common with preg. women and could last till the end, lets hope not though. The thirsty thing....do you have any sugar issues? I have had gestational diabetes before and that was a symptom, but not at 13 weeks, more like 26 weeks. Good luck today ast your scan and appointment. I'm on cd25 today, no symptoms, just normal. Not even tired anymore. I am not testing till cd32. hard to say, I have given up guessing, I am or I'm not and only time will tell me when to test. This is my most "desireful" month. This is the month I have wanted this the most. So I hope it all doesn't come crashing down, BUT just like every other month, chin up and try again. Hope everyone else is well this a.m ttyl
