LM3....clomid helped lengthen my luteal phase and it's not expensive compared to further treatment. Just had to pay for the cost of the pills and my doc did a day21 progesterone level test to see if I ovulated, which was covered by insurance. Val I mentioned on the other thread about Savannah possibly having had a shoulder injury from the birth (she doesn't have one though) BUT she did come out with a cone head, so if your rug-rat has a big head already, spare him the cone-head!!! Just kidding. It goes away, but if his head gets bigger by birth, etc.... you don't want to risk damage. Savannah had bruising on her face, broken blood vessels in her eyes, and bruised eyelids. Very common things, but what would have happened had her head been bigger?? COL....it's ok to laugh at the story I told. I do have a sense of humor about it, because it's the only way to look at things that are traumatic! Childbirth is just a crazy experience! Well, I haven't had the chance to go back and read old posts. Can anybody give me a simple run-down on anything new that has happened in the last week?? Punkin's on bed rest??? Val may have a c-section, anything else new???

Great story, Tracy! So glad she's here and now it's just one day at a time. I actually read your story on the May mommies thread (couldn't wait-lol) and boy it brought back all the memories of my births 16, 13 and 11 years ago. I can't believe it's been that long! And now you can be rea__sured that as the years go by the memories will fade more and more as you get more memories of Savannah growing up. Labor seems so far away and it seemed like it happened so quick even though it went on for hours. I was a lucky one when I had an epidural with my 2nd one. I was able to sleep through all the contractions-I thought it was the greatest thing around. When they woke me up they said I was ready to push already. I remember it feeling like I was pooping too and I just couldn't wait to get it out of there. The dr told me I was a record pusher. That in between stage of the baby being right in the pelvic area is the worst pain and pressure. And once they come out it's almost instant relief (until they go for the placenta!). It's all making me nervous to go through it all again, but I guess it must not have traumatized me too much if I'm willing to do it again-lol! Val, sorry to hear about c-section. I've had both and I definitely prefer the v____al. But like you said, whatever is best for baby. At least a planned cs is better than an emergency one, so that's the silver lining to it! You'll be able to see his birth, which is amazing. My only update is that this week, I'm feeling very, very tired and big and bummed about having 5+ wks to go. I've gone overdue on all of my other pgs, but I'm hoping this one will be different. People are amazed when I tell them how much time I have left, they can't imagine that I can get any bigger. My back is killing me. They gave me a girdle but it's not very comfortable so I haven't used it yet. I've got just about everything I need. I think my mom and I are going out to get the last few things over the weekend and I still have some things to sort and put away at home--but no energy lately. They are concerned I'm losing too much iron, which is causing the dark stools and lack of energy. I should find out some test results soon...sorry to ramble better get back to work. LB-sorry about losing your post-I hope your ds is doing okay. Punkin-sounds like it could be any day-hopefully you can make it as long as your hoping to. Hugs to all. LM3-sorry I'm not much help to you on luteal phase???

tracey...can't do clomid because of my past pregnancy history and can't take a chance of multiples. My 2 dr's call it an "avoidable risk".

hi all... thanks for the rea__surances about the c-section. I'm feeling much better about it now. Can't believe we actually have a birth date lined up - that's pretty crazy! I'm just taking it one day at a time and trying to get through to the 22nd without any problems or complications. Although I felt very proud of myself yesterday for getting a bunch of lettuce plants in the ground, this morning I realized - not such a great idea. My b___t was killing me all night whenever I had to turn over in bed! It's already very difficult and painful to turn over with this large belly without having sore b___t muscles as well! Ouch. :-) BM5 - when my back starts hurting, I get in the shower... the hot water seems to loosen up the muscles some. There have been a lot of days when I take at least 2 showers a day. Hope you find out the test results soon. I can't remember, do they have you on an iron supplement? And are you getting enough protein? HOPEFUL, there's no way we can forget you! TRACY, how is Savannah? Does she sleep through the night a lot? How is the diapering changing going? I think I'm anxious about that - I keep having dreams where I have like 3-5 babies and they all need to be changed at the same time! LM3 - I can't recall if you're into alternative medicine, but if you're open to it, you should google "dr angela wu" - she's a Chinese medicine pract_tioner in San Francisco and has a book out called Fertility Wisdom - it talks about diet and such relating to fertility. My friend was one of her patients and she now has twins after being told by one doctor that she was pre-menopausal. She did IVF, acupuncture and was really strict about the diet that Dr. Wu recommended for her (I tried it and had a harder time with it). I wonder if some of Dr. Wu's suggestions might help you get pg naturally? Anyway, just a thought! PUNKIN, hope you are having a good weekend. Guess that's all for me right now... I think I'm going to go do some more crocheting! Howdy to COL and SANN...

My little one has been up since four this morning.. I've loved having some one on one time with him. Jackson is growing like a weed! Spencer is so full of love and happy. Donavan my 14 year old is the world's best helper! Talk about blessed! Ladies I have read all your posts, hopefully I will have a chance to reply soon. Just wanted to let you know that you have been in my thoughts. Who knows, maybe some babies will be born and conceived today! Take care!

Val, Savannah feeds probably two times a night, but 3 to 5 hours apart, depending how lucky we get! She is eating about 2 to 3 ounces with each feeding. The nurse I have has trained Savannah to not be a snacker every two hours! Well, she's trained me more than the baby! Changing is easy too, don't worry about that. There is a method to most of this and having a chart to fill in is what has worked wonders for my staying calm and feeling organized about it all. I only freak out when she is crying and I can't figure out why. If she is dry, fed, and fussy I wait to see if she is ga__sy, then if she toots, I give her Mylicon. I am going to Whole Foods to get their baby gas remedy ASAP. My baby nurse says it works great and people love it. OK, I started this post this morning and am finishing it now at 8pm. Motherhood!

Oh, I guess that post sounds like every time my daughter toots I give her something for gas! That's not how it is, it's only like that if she just can't be calmed over a good period of time and she is consistently tooting. I had to clarify that!!! My nurse left a little while ago, so when I have down time I should be able to catch up with you guys now. I have been so busy trying to get as much done as possible while I have had an extra set of hands around here, that I have been neglecting you!!! I do want to catch up though.

Hi Ladies, I guess there could be some more babies that have arrived. The thread is very quiet at the moment. Tracy, so glad you are settling into motherhood. How is nursing going? how much does your daughter weigh now? My son weighs about 12 pounds and his eye colour is starting to change. Val, your c-section will be just fine. I found it much easier than a natural birth to recover from. Hopefully you will have the same. Hopeful, are you enjoying your visit with your Mom? Mine is finally coming down next week. I can't wait to see her. Lovemy3 I sent extra baby dust your way on Mother's day.. hope it help!!! My tubes were tied when I had my c-section so I'm feeling a loss at the moment that I won't be having any more children. That was the plan, but still a bit of sadness at the thought. I love my kids though. My heart feels full and content when all of them are in the same room at the same time. HEAVEN!!! Duty calls off to feed.. take care!

Hello all! Another quick one because, as usual, I've just managed to read all your posts and my little one has started up again. Typical! She's so gorgeous though that I forgive her. Anyway, today is a rainy day so me and my mum probably will stay in today - so hopefully that will mean I can catch up properly later. I really want to tell you my news and respond to all of yours. Just to say to Val - c-section really isn't that bad, and re. nappy changes (with real nappies!) are fine once you get into a rhythm. I'll tell you more later when I get a chance. Love to all XOXOXOX

Hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers Day-mine was relaxing. I started training my temporary replacement yesterday at work, which is good because I think I may end up going earlier than I thought. I'm having very strong contractions. They are not regular but they are occuring sometimes between 6 or more an hour. And I'm finding that I can't talk during them and they feel very low in my pelvic area. I can't imagine having these for another 5 weeks. I was 35 wks yesterday so hopefully I can get thru another week or 2. Better get ready for work-more later...hugs

hi all.. still here. Time is going by very slowly. It feels like waiting to go on vacation or something - seems like the day will never come! Nothing really new - still no contractions or anything. We're going in Thursday for the u/s and to make plans with the doctor. So a__suming nothing has changed, we'll be having the baby a week from today! I swear, I'm as nervous now as I was the first trimester... I just want him out safely. I keep worrying that something will go wrong this week. Although I know that once I'm sore and sleep deprived, I might be wishing him back in. I don't have much to do other than cooking, reading and crocheting. I might have to do some more painting or something just to keep busy. And I suppose I could be practicing my instruments or something, but I'm feeling really distracted. Anyway, it's good to read your updates! BabyM5, sounds like your time might be getting close! Is the dr putting you on bed rest or anything? PUNKIN, how are you doing? TRACY, don't worry about neglecting us - you have your hands full! LM3, how are you doing? LB, thanks for the encouragement about the c-section. I've pretty much accepted the idea. The main thing I'm not looking forward to is the recovery (especially if my allergies kick in and I'm sneezing all the time - ouch!) and staying in the hospital for several days, but since I can't change any of that, I'm trying not to fret about it. SANN and COL, how are you? HOPEFUL, glad to hear you are doing well and that the cloth diapers are working out! My MIL is coming to stay for 2 weeks after my c-section, and I'm hoping we don't have arguments about the cloth diapers. (We usually get along great, but she keeps making comments about waiting for a while to start with cloth, and we really don't want to do that!) I figure I'll tell her that she can use disposables when she changes the baby and that dh and I will use cloth. Does that sound fair? DH is even more into the cloth than me I think (or maybe he's just into being consistent), and said that he might ask his mom to start using cloth after we get our system down. I'll let him fight that battle if he wants! I am a little worried that if we're doing both and the baby starts getting diaper rash or something, we won't really know what is causing it. Hmmm.

Val...try not too be too worried. You will do great. I had 3 of them and am trying to go back for more-LOL! Seriously, just take good care of yourself after and don't lift, vacuum all the instructions your dr will give you. You will recover in no time. I'll be watching for your posts. Glad to see veryone else is well! xoxo
