COL - February 15

The irony is my Due date is the same date of my M/C last year October 26.

babymakes5 - February 15

Congrats COL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So glad you'll be joining us again. My b-day is Oct 28th! Tracy-how's house hunting going? I hope you guys find something soon! Val-a day off....sounds so nice. Sitting on the couch reading also sounds nice. what I wouldn't give for a nap right now! I woke up so tired again this morning that it's given me a headache all day. I've taken some Tylenol but no relief yet. TTC, I agree, the disappointment is sometimes not worth knowing a few days earlier. I have my fingers crossed for you! It would be great if all you TTCer's got BFPs around the same time. LB-I hope your 4-D ultrasound goes good-you must be just about in the safe zone by now? The longer the better. I have an u/s on Monday that I'm looking forward to. Other than that, not much else going on here...just more tired than usual. Probably the cold, stormy weather. We're supposed to get more snow tomorrow, but at least it's supposed to warm up next week, so I'm looking forward to that. Hopefully spring is right around the corner. Hugs to all and again, COL, congratulations!!!

TTC#3@35 - February 15

OH my gosh!! I didn't realize you were so close to testing!! CONGRATS! What dpo is this for you?? PLEASE SEND SOME BABY DUST TO ME TO LM3!!!

Tracy88 - February 15

Congrats COL!!!! It's ok to be scared and no matter what any of us says, you are going to continue to worry for a long time. I did and still do at 26 weeks. All you can do is ride the high of the joy and live in the moment. Buddhists believe in "being present" or living in the moment, so enjoy it mama!

Lovedblessings - February 15

COL Congratulations, you must be so excited! Tracy88 is right, you going to worry for months and years to come. TTC#335 my 4d ultrasound is non medical, it will give us a chance to look at our little boy and have some great pictures taken. The session is a gift for my DH for Valentines! Although I am excited too! When I had the D & C I was not pregnant just bled for 13 weeks with any end in sight! Stay optimistic! Val sorry to hear you’re still having the pains, have you heard from your doctor? We all seem to be avoiding the washroom at night. It's so cold who wants to get out of bed! I swear our bladders most glow in the dark, our babes seem to know just where to kick! Yesterday I was rocking my little guy to sleep for his nap. He was kicking me from the outside and his brother was kicking from the inside. My bladder hurt so much I was ready to just pee in the chair. How bad is that! Babymakes5 yes. Two more weeks and we are in a very safe zone. My last son was born at 34 weeks. Just counting down the days. YEAH! I love having an ultrasound, now I've hit a stage where my bladder no longer needs to be full the whole time. Once my cervix is checked I get to empty my bladder. Last time the doctor asked for a mid stream urine sample right after my ultrasound. Come on is he crazy!! My bladder was ready to burst and somehow he wanted me to stop part way through and pee in a little cup. Obviously his never been pregnant before...LOL Make sure you get lots of rest. Hopefully spring is just around the corner.

Col - FANTASTIC NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sizzling with excitement for you - brilliant brilliant brilliant!! What a fabulous day! You deserve it. By the way, re. the irony of dates - I'm due the same week of my D&C last year so, judging by how well things are going so far, I think that's actually a good omen and perhaps fate's way of tying the two pregnancies together. Stay rested and positive and try not to worry. Can't wait to read your updates. Big Hugs and Belly Rubs to you!!!!!!!!!!! XOXOXOXOX

Hopeful and excited - February 16

Hello all! Well today is the last day of my family visiting (until my mum comes in 2 weeks that is!! - the last of the visits before the birth) and the sun broke out yesterday so they've had some lovely days. Although there's not much snow, they've had some good days skiing (today being another one) and, because there's not much snow, they've also been able to summit some of the lower peaks around here. So they're all tired and happy which is great. Last night (their last night here) was the first day of Carnival celebrations here and was a suitably crazy time for us all (lots of fancy dress, masks and silliness) even though I had to bail out an hour before everyone else at about 11pm. A wonderful way to wrap up the time together. No doubt we'll have time for a brief get together after their day out today and before they head to the airport. A good time had by all and very successful. I also got a beautiful present of some Nepalese felt shoes that look like tigers - so adorable and gorgeous - I can't wait til the Bean can fit into them! Oh yes, and yesterday dh and I cleared out a load of clothes from our wardrobes and drawers and so now have a load more space. Hooray! We took all the clothes to a second hand shop and traded them in for a sweet little rocking horse which looks hand made (I just couldn't pa__s it up even though it won't be used for about a year!!) and a gorgeous jacket for my dh. Very satisfying! Not much more clearing to do now. ******** So how about you all? Tracy - hope your legs, back and sleeping have improved. I think that the prenatal yoga will work wonders on all three of those problems (provided the course leader is properly qualified - please check their credentials won't you?) The relaxation techniques will be particularly helpful and also learning to say NO to your family will give you more time to rest!! How's the house hunting? Have you put in an offer anywhere yet? That area you described near your in-laws sounds perfect. Hope you find something soon! Val - the bathtub sounds like a great idea and is a good subst_tute. I learned at antenatal cla__s this week that women often have a bath at the beginning of labour anyway to check their contractions are "real" (sometimes early contractions appear to be 5 mins apart - an indicator to go to hospital - but after a bath you get a "true reading" of what's happening). How's your pelvis by the way? And I want more details about your hypnobirthing - you're my teacher coz there's no cla__s like that here!! PLEASE tell me more!! Steph - Hello! - sounds like you had the perfect birth with Chloe! I wouldn't mind if everything went that fast (as long as it's safe for me to do so) but I think that would be wishful thinking. Re. your carpal tunnel syndrome - I have this too. Horrible feeling! A friend of mine, who's a chiropractor, told me it's all related to your back (which, presumably, is the weight of the baby putting on pressure) so he recommends constantly checking and rechecking your posture and not spending too much time infront of the computer (or any sitting position for too long!) I tried both of these things and noticed a marked improvement. How much longer do you intend to work? Perhaps when you really get to relax it'll get better. TTC#3 - How are you today? How's YOUR househunting going? All well I hope and no signs of AF. Lots of Baby Dust winging its way to you! And of course, to you too lovemy3!! How long now til you get the rest of your results? How's your weight loss going? Keep us posted on your progress as I know it helps to share the ups and downs of reaching your goal and here is the perfect place coz it's all anonymous. Lots of good luck and positive vibes to you. BM5 - thanks for your congrats for our anniversary. I think we're going to go to a hotel for the night and pamper ourselves in the spa part. I'm so looking forward to it! How's your pelvis? I can't believe your still agile enough for all that bd-ing. Amazing! Sorry about your sleeplessness though. It sounds like you really need some rest (try some yoga relaxation techniques) and your boss needs to be told that you can't be expected to make up your lost hours now. How ridiculous!! Hope it all sorts itself out soon. Lovedblessings - how are the hormones? I know the feeling! We went to buy the crib a few days ago and I found it all so overwhelming I started to cry. Silly! I'm in love with swimming though and it really helps to "settle" things like that (perhaps it's the adrenalin?) but I wish I could go more often. When's your 4D? Wish I was doing that! Have fun but don't push yourself. Who have I forgotten? Punkin, Sann, Tylersmommy, Percy, KD - how are you all? Post news whenever you can. ****** OK - that's all from me. I'm going to tidy up a bit, have a shower and go out and enjoy the day - it's a scorcher!! (well it's sunny anyway - I can't wait for spring to really kick in coz it's one of my favourite seasons!!) TTYL! XOXOXOXOX

Hopeful and excited - February 16

Oh yes – P.S. – my baby shower invitations are going out today. 2 weeks to go!! It’s going to be a monster of a party (90 people invited – Yikes!!) I hope I can cope!! At least dh and I are in the hospitality trade so it’ll just be a bit like work!! (with some fun thrown in too I hope!! LOL!!!)

Tracy88 - February 16

Hopeful, sounds like your guests always leave satisfied! Glad to hear they had a good time! We have found the perfect house, but can't make an offer on it quite yet because......his parents are helping us with the purchase and they are in the process of selling their Vermont home. Their Vermont home is under contract, so should close within the next two to three weeks. Once that is done, my FIL said he will know just how much he can give us. He stands to make a b___tload of money off that home, so we will wait patiently for as long as it takes. The only downfall is we found the perfect home in the perfect place for the perfect price, so hope it doesn't get ripped out from under us while we wait. There is also a new development going up very nearby, which had an awesome home , but the initial selling prices are pretty high and they won't be done for 5 to 7 months. I don't think it's the best buy although I love the quality and floorplan of the home. I'm still going to take DH by the model home this weekend. Well, take out your party hats and start baking my cake, I turn 37 today!!! Weeeeee, getting older is soooo much fun!!!! Gonna go do the U/S and glucose test, I will be back later to finish reading your posts and such. Where is LM3? Did she go out of town again and I forgot or what?

COL - February 16

Hey ladies, thank you so much for your kind words. I am so lucky to have you all. Ok, where to start with my journey this month. Started with an appointment with a fertility specialist, who suggested an investigation cycle, which includes ultra sounds and blood works CD3 -5 and HSG CD 10. I went for my ultra sound and blood work cd 10 before my HSG ( which was not painful but very uncomfortable), when I was done we went home, and there was this message on my phone , the nurse is saying that my blood work and ultra sound are fine, and I am ovulating today. Opssssssssss, that was a surprise, according to my calculations, this is too early. But anyway, we did our business that day and the day after. CD 13 I went for another ultra sound and I was told that I ovulated already. And here started the waiting game. 7dpo I went for a blood work for Progesterone level, which came 13.2. I did not have any kind of out of the ordinary symptoms. The only thing I noticed differently is my temps; they were higher than usual for me. So V-day I came home from work, for no reason I took HPT and Holly Crab its positive. I could not believe it, I woke up the second morning at 4 am and took another one, and it was positive again. I was so scared to be happy or excited, I felt so sad inside me that I can’t even be happy. Same with my husband, when I told him, his first reaction was, let’s not get excited and then pay the price, let’s take one day at the time. So yesterday, I went back to the fertility specialist clinic, for a blood test to confirm, the nurse called me before 2pm and left a message literary saying ( congratulations, you are pregnant!! Then she repeated the following 3 times (if you stay pregnant by Saturday, I would like you to come for a second blood work) so I called her, and asked her, is there any reason why you said that if I stay pregnant by Saturday to come? And holly!!!! You should hear her voice yelling at me, not to a___lyze her words. I was in shock I could not find my words at that moment, but after that, I said, if you don’t want your words to be a___lyzed, why don’t you choose them carefully? I was so upset all day yesterday. Out of all the people, a nurse who works with fertility issues, she does not understand what we go through, and she could not put the effort to pretend to be nice. So tomorrow I have another blood test to check if my numbers are doubling. Talk to you soon

TGIF everyone and what a great day it is. Everyone seems to be so positive on the board-thanks COL for the cheer up. It's so exciting to have your news here, I really think it's a good sign for all the other ttcer's here. Hopeful, so glad your visit went well. And how exciting-2 wks until your shower!!! I remember with my first (16 years ago!) that after the showers happened, it all went so fast. Sorting through all the new stuff, washing it and putting it away and then finally bringing the little bundle of joy home to dress up in all the new cool stuff you have! And taking loads and loads of pictures because in your mind, it's the cutest baby you've every seen!! I can't believe I'm doing it again, I feel so blessed! dh has the day off tomorrow for the first time since xmas, so I'm looking forward to spending 2 whole weekend days with him and our kids. It's a busy weekend planned, but that's what families are all about! Boy, it sounds like I'm a little mushy today, huh? I guess I better get on with it...Tracy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I hope you guys find out soon about the house and if you can put an offer on it, it'll be a tough couple of weeks waiting but at least you have plenty of other things to think about--like having an awesome bday! It's so nice to get help from the ILs. Val I hope you hear back from your doc soon. I'm going to p.t. for my pelvic bone on Tue. I hope it helps, although it hasn't been too bad lately. It's bearable, but still limits me quite a bit with the walking around a lot. If I get some good suggestions for exercises at home, I'll be sure to pa__s them on! LovedB-I'm so glad you're almost out of the woods. It won't be long now and hopefully this next 2 weeks will go quick. Visit us often if you're feeling bored and we'll get you through. I better get back to work. tons of baby dust coming your way TTC and LM3, hope all is well with you both, and anyone else I missed. Hugs..

H & E enjoy the spa.. will be nice for you to relax. Tracy - I hope the house you love will still be there! I cannot look for a house quite yet. Having some problems with my Ex & the property we own. I didn't realize I had to get my name of the mortgage & deed to that house, so i must wait til he refinances to get my name of the mortgage to be eligible to get another mortgage... like pulling teeth with him Not feeling to hopeful today. Im 8dpo & crampy as usual & getting real irritable & touchy as usual. Did you guys notice feeling the same way like that but was really pregnant. So I am starting to freak like i usually do around now.. thinking am I??? aint I??? well this cramp means this & that means this!! SO one minute I'm sure AF will show then the next minute sure AF will NOT show.. I try so hard not to bring my Dh to be into all that because it kills him twice as much & makes him feel like he's let us down because of his parapelgia & not being able to get me pg.

lovemy3 - February 16

CONGRATS COL__________ I am sooooo happy for you. You just be happy, keep in spirits and keep praying!! I will be praying for you as well. I am just thrilled for you!! Keep us posted. I wonder if you have been ovulating earlier than you think often? When we get the EWXCM is that before ovulation or after? Were you temping? I am in my 2ww again.

babymakes5 - February 16

TTC-I have my fingers crossed for you! It seems like in the past for me, the times I thought I had symptoms, I didn't so when I did finally have symptoms I kept telling myself I wasn't, and then I was. It's such a vicious cycle. I have a question, me and dh wanted to do something "interactive" with our kids tonight (ages: 16, 15, 13, 11) and at first I thought bowling but dh said I couldn't, is that true? I guess that would make sense, what if I use a really light ball? Any other suggestions of what we could do? I really didn't want to go to a movie because I wanted to spark conversation but I guess that might be the only thing we could do right now? (of course, finances are tight--so that also limits us) Any suggestions would be great. We have 2 b-day parties to go to on Sat and will be leaving kids at home and really wanted to do something fun with them tonight but they're at tough ages to do stuff with (they'd rather be home playing video games!)

COL - February 16

Lovemy3, heyyyyyyyyyyy finally you showed up. I was wondering where are you: ). Going back to your question, yes I do temp, and as for the EWCM, I see it more often, its not only one day. But I remember that the day I ovulated I had lots of it, but mind you it was the day of my HSG, where I had lots of discharges because of it. I wish you the best for your 2ww, I know it’s hard. The funny part is that I joined a diet program to lose some weight that kept me busy. I lost 10 lb in 2 weeks. I love the program, its so easy and very efficient. I will be praying for you too. have a great day.

Tracy88 - February 16

Definitely don't go bowling unless you just sit there and keep score. I think that bowling is a great idea because it keeps you close and does spark conversation, so if you have the willpower to sit & keep score, then go do that. COL, stay strong and forget about the witch at the clinic. I went for an U/S this morning and I have good news and not-so-good news. The good news is that the baby weighs 2.8 pounds, is strong, cute, and healthy, measuring a week ahead. The not so great news is that my cervix is short at 1.8 when they want it at least a 3 or 4. I am not dialated however. This can indicate the beginnings of pre-term labor, so I go back on Monday morning for a test on my cervix (FFN) to see what is going on. I am officially on modified bed rest for now, and then Monday's test will determine if I join LovedB on full bed rest. She was head down today, which they said is normal. They absolutely confirmed that she is a she. So, I am going to lay down now and gain even more weight!
