Tracy - i just meant I've had limited use to my computer so I type a long message & when I went to submit my computer kicked me off. & Finally you get some sleep weeks before your baby comes! Punkin - how cute about the pacifier.. good for her! i had a tear in my eye remembering my dds & their pacifiers

Trust me, I'm sure the restful nights I've had have just been flukes. The RLS never really goes away, and just because I have one good night's sleep, or even two, that doesn't mean it will continue. I had a good solid week of sleep when DH was out of town (coincidence??) I thought for sure the RLS was licked, but NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Hopeful and excited - April 6

Morning everyone! It's a beautiful day here! I got up early because I slept pretty well last night (only 3 trips to pee and 5 "turns" to keep comfy!) and the sun is shining and the mountains look cold but stunning. How is everyone today? Lovedblessings - we're thinking of you - can't wait to hear your news!! Tracy - so glad you're getting some good sleep, even if you don't believe it to be a permanent situation. Also great to hear that your cervix is still behaving itself (LOL!!) and that the sugar levels are under control. I feel guilty as I had chocolate last night and I'm not even a great fan - must be an Easter thing......the shops are packed full of the stuff at the moment so it's hard not to be persuaded!! Sounds like you've been busy with the washing and preparing. You too Val. It's great fun isn't it - putting all the "bits" together and filling draws full of new clothes for a person you've never met. Very strange but very exciting too!! Punkin - glad you're well too. What a funny story about your daughter and the pacifier. What a good girl!! Sorry to hear that your sugar levels don't seem to be shifting. Can you get some extra advice from another nutritionist perhaps? Well done for kicking the sweet tea habit though. TTC and lovemy3 - great to hear from you.............make sure you both keep us posted with your news. As ever, my fingers and toes are crossed. ******** As for me? My appointment went well on Wednesday. Head nearly engaged (at least she said if my waters break now I can make my own way to the hospital which is great - I'll still probably lie down on the way just to be safe) and NO SUGAR IN MY URINE. Hooray! They did the usual CTG (monitoring the heartbeat and my contractions) and the Bean was disco dancing all the way through which was really funny. Also, they said I had a few mini contractions but I certainly didn't feel them. So, all is well..........so well, in fact, that my next appointment will be in 2 weeks (if I don't have the baby before then) which I was surprised about ............I thought that after the 36th week the appointments went up to once a week. Oh well, she (my Ob/Gyn) must have been pleased with how I'm doing, mustn't she? Oh yes - I did have a slightly low iron level in my blood so she gave me a 1-a-day supplement to take but she said that was pretty normal for this stage. I'm relieved that everything seems to be going fine and hope that it bodes well for the labour. Walking about seems to have become rather more strenuous over the last few days - probably something to do with the head being lower. Oh yes, and Bean has swapped sides - his/her back was on my left side last week and now it's on my right. Not a problem though as far as I understand - as long as the head is still down there's little to worry about. *********** Other than that, nothing to report really. Still doing chores with our business (well I'm more of the a__sistant than the "worker") ........trying to get it all "neat and tidy" so that it will run itself for a few weeks on short notice when the Bean decides to arrive! It's not a lot of work but, of course, as soon as one job is finished we see another one which needs doing (or an improvement that can be made) and so the "to do" list never seems to get any shorter!!!!!!!! Oh well, at least it takes our minds off the "waiting" which is nice. Life is good though and "Happy" is my middle name!!!! LOL!! Looking forward to hearing your updates. Happy Easter to you all and enjoy (a little bit!!) the chocolate. Big Hugs XOXOXOXOX

Hopeful, so glad to hear you are well. My little one moves from side to side as well, and stays head down too. One week her feet are on one side of my belly and the next, they are on the other side. You know, I'm actually surprised that my cervix has behaved because "bed rest" just hasn't happened. I tried, but it was just physically impossible. I would feel my body out though, and if I felt like I was doing too much, I would slow down or stop. I wish preparing for bean to arrive would be a little more fun for me. Everything is shoved into the corner just as you walk into my condo since we are moving just after the baby arrives. I still feel unorganized and unprepared, even though I think I have just about everything I need. I know that once she arrives, I won't care about any of these things that seem to mean so much right now.

H&E - gosh your next to go huh?! Good luck to you in the upcoming weeks. Tracy - kick dh outta bed sister! Maybe you'll sleep better :-} Have a great easter

Tracy88 - April 6

TTC#3, that's just it....DH and I haven't slept in the same room for months now due to my RLS and need for space with pillows, etc....so we know he isn't the problem! You have a great Easter too.

LOVEMY3, VAL, COL, BABYMAKES5, TRACY .... sounds like you girls are doing pretty well. Punkin, it;s possible that it took time for the meds to kick in. I forgot to take mine last night before bed and my level was 111 this morning, whereas yesterday it was 94. I cheated and ate popcorn at the movies though, so I'm sure that affected it some. The popcorn only took my level 2 hours later to 119 though, so not too bad! Sann, wow, ten more days to go???? Yay! Good to hear from you. Sorry things have been so hectic!

punkin01 - April 7

hey tracy i got home last nite from work and was soooooo hungry so i wanted a corn dog so bad so i had 2 and i just knew it being so late last nite my BS this am would be bad BUT to my surprise it was 86 .......i retook it to make sure and it was 84 that time so maybe all the meds needed was a little time .......hope you are doing well today check in with you later

Tracy88 - April 7

Glad to hear the BS was good after some corn dogs. I am about to have a soy cheese pizza, and will check my level 2 hours after to see what it does to me. I had a burger, fries and diet coke for lunch, and my BS came it at 119. I could have done without the fries.

Lovedblessings - April 8

Hi Ladies, Well what an experience. I will give you the short version now and try to give more detail when I'm feeling better! We went in to be induced on the 4th. The doctor examined me. the babies head was engaged and I was 2 cm dialated. By the time I reached 8 cm I had the urge to push, the babies heart beat had dropped below 100 twice so the nurses changed my position then checked how dialated I was still at 8 cm and thought they felt what was chubby checks. However another nurse examined me and as much as she hoped the were chubby checks her concern was that the baby had flipped. The doctor was called and he ran into the room 10 minutes later, my water had already been broken. ( I was very scared at this point since his heart rate had dropped again) The doctor gave performed an ultrasound and sure enough my little boy had flipped around, bum down. I was prepped for an emergency c-section and my little man was born at 4:41pm weighing in at 8 pounds 4 ounces. Due to my blood pressure dropping down really low during the surgery I didn't get to see him for some time. However my DH took some pictures and brought them to me. WIth birth I guess we just have to expect the unexpected. I have so much more to tell you however I better get some rest since my bp is still low as well as my iron levels Have a great Easter, talk to you soon!
