Ok, Val caught my update on another thread. I went to the doc yesterday and am 100% effaced and 1cm dilated. The doctor said he really doesn't think I'll go more than another week or so. I don't think I will either because I can feel the discomfort and the baby just keeps getting lower and lower. My stomach is sore and I am having increasing pressure when I go to the bathroom. I have contractions every day, and they are getting worse, but they just aren't close like true labor yet. I also tend get contractions when I go to the bathroom. I have not pa__sed my MPlug yet, nor has my water broken, that I know of! I have another appointment on Tuesday, so we'll see what happens if I make till then. Part of me just wants this baby out, and part of me wants her to wait one more week until I reach 36 weeks because then I can go to the hospital right around the corner (it's nice). If I go before 36 weeks I will have to go to St Mary's which is about 20-25 minutes away and in a really bad area. They have the NICU and pediatric ward though and are very good over there, so either way, I think things will be ok.

DH's brother's wife had her baby yesterday. She was just shy of 6 pounds. Cute little thing. The only thing that bothers DH and I is that they named her Hannah knowing full well that we named our daughter Savannah at 20 weeks when they first spotted a v____a. They were having a surprise baby. So now we are going to have Hannah and Savannah. Hmmm.

Hello all - Just a quick note to say that I'm still here and all is well. Nothing to report - just trying to wait it all out patiently!! All that can be done has been done and now I'm spending the days reading and enjoying the spring sunshine. ******* Tracy - Sounds like you're on your way. Much, MUCH luck to you and I hope you can wait it out long enough to go to the local hospital as it sounds like you'd prefer it!! I don't think I'm anywhere near it yet although I'm just into my 39th week and the doctor's have said on several occasions that I could be a week early. We'll see. I'm quite comfortable waiting at the moment but will get a little less easy if I start to go overdue I think. By the way - I think the same as lovemy3 - Hannah and Savannah sound lovely together. Don't worry about it. BM5 - Great to hear from you although I'm so sorry you've been feeling breathless and anxious. I do hope you start feeling better soon. Come and moan at us if you want to get it out - that's what this forum's for, isn't it? Big Hugs to you!!!!! Oh yes - and, lovemy3 - so glad you started a new thread. I'm really hoping it does the job for you. Try not to think about the time element too much as it will just add more stress. Thinking of you still. **** That's all from me. I'll be keeping you all posted. Can't wait to hear from some of the others as I know it's not long now!! Lots of love to you all!! XOXOXOXOX

Oh yeah-I wanted to add, can you guys believe that no other cars stopped as witnesses. There were several cars in the intersection, but not one stopped! If another car would've stopped I would've for sure called the police. I got on the phone right away with dh so they'd know I was talking to someone-it was that scary.

Hi Ladies, Thanks for all the kind words I truly feel blessed! It's so great having my little boy home... seems like it took forever to get here! His name is Jackson "Jack" for short. George (after his Great grandfather and Paul after my Dad (who pa__sed away in 2001) we were back in hospital on Sunday, my legs started to swell and my incision was infected. The infection had entered my blood stream which was caught early. The doctor gave me antibiotics through an IV and then a prescription to take home. My legs had three lumps form on the upper thigh; I had an ultrasound to rule out blood clots. Today I am feeling much better, the staples were removed which has taken some of the pain away. My stomach finally bottom out today... gotta love that gravity!!! NOT! Now I have to lift my stomach to get to the incision site. MY DH has been cleaning it for me, not so s_xy. According to my DH it's a great form of birth control... lol Tracy how are you feeling? Is your cervix holding in place? Val has you made your birth plan? Are you finished all your last minute shopping? Lovemy3, great to have the new thread. It must be so frustrating listen to all our pregnancy stories knowing how easily you conceived your first three kids and are struggling this time. As my friends were having their second, third and fourth kids I always felt so sad and frustrated. Here’s wishing your little baby will come your way soon. I had to wait 14 years for my second child; here I sit with my third. (You were in my thoughts as I looked around the room at my three kids, how blessed I feel to have them in my life. Here’s tons of baby dust coming your way. Babymakes5, I felt sick as I read about your car accident... I can’t believe no one stopped to help you. Great news that you and the baby are ok. Take it easy for the weekend, get lots of rest. Hopeful and excited, not much longer for you to go. The waiting game is tough towards the end of your pregnancy, you sound great! Not too stressed or frustrated. Enjoy this time as your world is about to change in a great way. We are having a few sleepless nights here but I love it! Not too long and we will be hearing your birth story.

BM5 - yikes - that sounds like it was really scary! I'm glad you're ok and the baby is doing well. My good friend was in an accident when she was 6-7 months pregnant but everything was ok. That's a bummer that they didn't have insurance - seems like they should have paid if they hit you. Hopefully their car had some damage! What the *$&# are people doing driving a Lexus with no insurance? Sounds fishy to me. I've been nervous about being in a car accident. There are a lot of drivers without insurance near where I work and lots of people run red lights... I've been trying to be extra cautious lately because so many people are just so careless and stupid! (grr... sorry, got on my soap box. I heard a friend telling another friend last week about how he got pulled over in Texas a few years back and the cop just let them go even though they were totally drunk. He was kind of proud of the story, and I know he still drives drunk on a regular basis now. Makes me really mad. People just don't think about how dangerous cars are...) Anyway, I'm glad you're ok. TRACY, how ya doing? Hanging in there? HOPEFUL, glad to hear from you and that you are feeling good in week 39! As for me, I can't believe I still have a month and a half to go. At least 2 people asked me today if my due date is imminent. I went to the dr's office today because I had some blurred vision. (I was due for an appt on Monday but didn't want to wait and stress out all weekend.) Anyway, they checked for preeclampsia signs but everything looked good. I'm measuring big again/still - like 3-4 weeks ahead. The dr thought the baby might have turned head down, but they'll do another u/s in 2 weeks to check. Oh, and I bought my b___st pump today... I got a tip in my b___stfeeding cla__s that a local dr's office sells them at cost, so I only had to spend $215 instead of $250! Yay! DH is stressing out about money (and the lack of me bringing anything in for at least 2 months starting in May) so I'm really trying to look for good deals. I guess that's the scoop from here...sorry I'm kind of rambling... did too many errands today and I'm beat. Hope everyone has a good weekend. I'll check in but may not be able to write much...

So, my dear friend Hopeful..I can't believe you are 39 weeks, it just seems like yesterday we were laughing and carrying on while you got your BFP! I am excited and looking for your birth story! Tracy...how are you doing? You have had a rough road, hang in there, just a little while longer. Val...can't believ you are coming down to the finally too! How about Sann and Col? I am excited for you guys...you go girls..have those babies! Be sure you come back occasionally and look to see when I get my BFP, Don't forget me now..LOL. Hugs!

BM5....sooooooo glad to hear that you are ok. I'm p__sed though because basically it sounds like you were intimidated into not calling the cops. I doubt I would have tempted fate either, but I just find that sad. I'm sorry that happened to you and glad you are well. Hopeful, I can't believe the time is coming for you! I am so excited. Of course we want to hear everything about it. Loved, congrats on Jack!!!!! I'm sorry to hear about the infections and such, but I'm sure when you look at that little face, you forget about the struggle. At least I'm hoping that's what happens!!!! I ended up in the hospital yesterday in a not so desirable part of town. I had a decrease in fetal movement, which I was told to look out for, so the doc sent me to the hospital where all preemies are born to have a biophysical profile done and a non stress test, just to make sure the baby was fine. She was of course just having a LAZY a__s day!!!! Toward the end of my stay she started bonking around in there making me look like an idiot! They did catch a huge braxton hicks on the monitor though. Mine last about 3 to 4 minutes and I have been getting at least 5 a day. They are infrequent but very strong. Well, they sent me home, so that's good. I didn't want her to be born in that hospital anyway. If Savannah holds out one more week, I get to have her up here by my house at Jupiter Med. Ctr. which is pristine and quiet. They just don't have a NICU. The other hospital was very busy and not as clean and new, but I know they are very good there. Only Savannah knows what she is going to do though. My rocker is finally being delivered today!!!! I can't wait for it to come because I think when I have restless leg, I can just sit in it and use my calves to rock myself instead of standing and either pacing or doing little dance moves! Val, my ex boyfriend was a drinker and pothead, and he used to tell me how he drove around with beer in the trunk while rolling a joint at the steering wheel, and he also lived in Texas. He seemed quite proud of it too and that nauseated me; thus, why we are not together anymore! I am surprised at the amount of c___ppy drivers around where I live. I drove in heavy Miami traffic for years, and I find the drivers worse up here in yuppie suburbia! This area is actually called little New York though because this is where all the New Yorker's with money have second homes and come to golf and vacation. No offense to any New Yorker's but these people either can't drive because they never had to, or they drive with a sense of ent_tlement, like you have to work around them. Val, when I looked at having 6 more freaking weeks left, it seemed like an eternity! That's why I am almost glad Savannah is probably going to come a little early. I am in so much discomfort and can't fathom 6 more weeks of this. Can I confess that I have scrathes on my body from the RLS driving me so crazy that I cry and scratch myself???? Sounds like lunacy, I know, but that's how crazy it makes me. I'm scared to get PG again and have to go through this torment. Nobody should have to suffer like this. LM3.......don't you worry about anybody forgetting about you! My pet peeve is making friends, sharing so much, and then people dropping off the face of the earth. I realize the baby is going to take a lot of time and energy, but this forum has been a God-send and I don't think I will stop visiting even if I get a little busy and tired. Speaking of tired.....for the last 3 days I have fallen asleep on the couch in the middle of the afternoon for about 30 minutes! Why is that such a big deal you ask? Because the RLS wasn't letting me sleep at all before, so the fact that I can actually get 30 minutes in is a miracle!

Good Morning Ladies, For those of you who have had a c-section before has anyone ever got a lump under their incision? The site is infected and the lump has grown larger over the last two days. Off to the doctors today, just curious if any one had experienced it before. Thanks!

Loved, I haven't had a c-section, but I did have an abdominal laparoscopy last year. While my incisions were teeny-tiny, I did develop lumps under two of the scars and was told it's just scar tissue and would go away. It did!

hey all.....still hanging in here...baby is doing good went to Dr yesterday and he measured 32 weeks which is exactly where i am.....i have been doing good on my GD meds and my blood sugars have been good the Dr was pleased and he said my body did have to have an adjustment period on them.......my BP was good but i had a trace amt of protine in my urine but he said it wasnt enough to worry about.......i went for my first NST and he looks good i had to stay about 2 hrs but i enjoyed hearing his heartbeat and hearing him kick and move on the monitor......but i did loose 2 lbs and the Dr jumped my case about it........but i didnt do it on purpose!!!!!! loved sorry i cant be of any help about the lump on your incision but i had no problems with mine so i am not sure......LM3 i hope you starting this thread will bring you the best of luck on your BFP.....BM5 i am so glad your OK and baby is OK....did you get a tag #? you could have got it and went to the Police dept and expalined what happened and done a rpt for your insurance......i cant believe noone stopped to make sure you were OK or someone just call the police on their own...we have that all the time where a witness will call or should i say everyperson that witnessed it and each one that drives by.....we usually get slammed when a wreck happens because everyone tries to be the first to call it in.......and you may have gotten a speach for leaving the scene but if you felt your life could have been in danger you didnt have to stay.....i would have called the police and reported it and told them the situation while i drove to the station and gotten the best description i could or a tag #......please dont think i am preaching to you or anything like that just telling you what i would have told a caller that was in that situation....because where i live to get insurance to fix it you have to have a police rpt .....they may still do one if you need it and explain what happened...i just hate to see you w/o a veh and pregnant with baby almost here........take care let us know what happens........tracy sounds like you are having a rough time with your diet.......just be careful about eating stuff with sugar GD is hard on babies sometimes and like my Dr told me with my DD harsh but true GD can kill babies that are perfectly normal and healthy.......and you dont want that again not preaching to you either just trying to offer support i KNOW it is hard and i struggle too and last night i had to have some choc syrup on my sugar free ice cream (maybe the 2 would cancel each other out----lol) and 1 1/2 hr after eating it my blood sugar was 101 so it wasnt so bad he wants it under 100 most of the time he said he would be ok with a FEW over 100 but just barely like that one was........to anyone i may have left out i am sorry but in a bit of a hurry please dont be mad and hope all is doing well check in later ............

Hi Loved..I have had 3 sections. The lump now is from infection so you need to get it treated Mon a.m. But even after, like 4 yrs after under the scar it is fairly lumpy. I have 1 vertical and 2 horizontal and they are all lumpy. Even 12 yrs from my first and 4 years from my last they are still all numb and I really don't have any feeling in the surrounding area at all. With each the dr put a drain in the incision with a little bag attached and removed it when they took the staples out. Let me know tomorrow how you make out. If you have a fever go to the ER today. Thats too bad this has happened. xox

Hello all! Yet again I've been MIA for a few days. The weather here has been so gorgeous that I've been taking advantage of all the fresh air - in the garden (watching my DH do all the work!), going for walks (short ones!!) and generally making sure I'm getting out as much as possible. It's lovely and a fabulous way to spend the last few weeks. Yesterday we had a little "nudge" thinking that labour might have started as I had some pretty "interesting" pains. However, they soon subsided and all is well today (I think another case of indigestion was the problem!). I am feeling very "heavy" though (what a lot of words with "speech marks"! LOL!!!!) and so wonder if the Bean has moved further down again. Who knows. Acupuncture again today - that should be moving things along too! - and a check up with Ob/Gyn on Thursday so I'm getting plenty of attention during the wait. That's all my news anyway. I'll keep you updated. Wonder how Sann is? She must be getting near to time now!!! Exciting stuff. ******** BM5 - What a horrible experience! I'm SO glad you and baby are OK but I can't believe that no-one stopped to help. Maybe they were all as scared as you. What a shame you didn't get their number. I certainly think you should report the incident to the police. What harm could it do and it may help sort out the insurance. Keep safe from now on and enjoy your shower!! Lovedblessings - you've chosen lovely names for your little boy. Wonderful stuff. Sorry to hear about the infection. How did the doctor's appointment go? Hopefully it's all sorted and you can simply enjoy your new arrival without any extra worry. Thanks for your encouragement with regards my labour. Not long now!! Val - good to hear you sounding so well and still managing to get some preparation done. Did you buy an electric or manual pump? They're funny things aren't they? Tracy - Glad to hear all was well at the ER (I've had a few moments like that where the Bean is not moving and I've worried but generally after a few hours s/he is back on form!) and that you're still on track for the local hospital. Also glad to hear that you've been getting in a few naps. Me too!! Can't seem to get through the day without one. However, my nights have been really broken. Seem to be waking every hour now so I'm truly getting ready for the b___stfeeding schedule I think!! Punkin - glad all is well with you too. 32 weeks eh and bang on target? Great stuff. Well done. Hope it stays that way. lovemy3 - OF COURSE you won't be forgotten - you're the founder of this thread after all and we can't start new ones without you so you'll always be with us!! Thank you for your words of support and friendship - I can't wait to share my news with you and to hear that your dreams have come true. ******* To all those I haven't mentioned - I've not forgotten you - I just want to hear your news so that I can respond. Do get in touch whenever you can - WE MISS YOU ALL LOADS!! (The thread seems to be dwindling in numbers a bit doesn't it?) Hope you're all well. Big Hugs to everyone. TTYL XOXOXOXOX
