Hello there my friends, I read all of your stories, am up to date: ) . Congratulations to Loved, I am sure that she is on cloud nine away from the infection that it will be history soon. I can’t believe it’s the time for almost all of you. I am so happy for all of you ladies. My update, I am m 2 days shy from 13 weeks, the baby is doing good so farm, as for me, you name it, any pregnancy symptoms’ anybody had in the world I had, it was not an easy ride so far, Nausea, vomiting, tired , exhaustion, and the icing on the cake is the Sciatic Nerve in my left leg. But still kicking and I am still hopeful that things will keep going well. Good luck to all of you, and I love you all.

BM5, I can't believe the c___p you have to put up with over this whole car issue with those people intimidating you like that. How disgusting they must be to be giving a pregnant woman a hard time! COL.....fabulous to hear from you. Glad to hear things are progressing as they should, even though it probably feels like it's been torture! I had issues with my lower back in the first trimester and thought for sure it was going to give me grief the whole pregnancy, but surprisingly, once everything got stretched and settled into place, I have had no problems with it since. Hopefully that's what will happen to you. All of my back pain since then has been in the upper portion of my back due to posture and belly growth. Please continue to keep us posted on the bean! Hopeful and Val, I still admire you guys for doing the cloth diaper thing. Every time either of you mentions it, I am reminded of how much of an impact diapers make on the environment and how the two of you are contributing less to landfills. Kudos to you both! OK, my hands are so swollen this morning for some reason, and keep falling asleep, so I have to take a break from typing for a few hours. TTYL

TTC#3 - how are you doing? Any good news? I'm crossing my fingers for you... BM5 - ohmygosh - that is so scary! Those people are the biggest jerks, trying to intimidate you like that. I didn't realize you were in contact with them at all. I hope the police are helpful. They've now broken several laws - no insurance, running a red light, underage driver, and isn't threatening someone against the law? Jeez, sorry you are having to go through all of this. I hope those people get what they deserve and stop making your life difficult. COL, so glad to hear from you! And so glad you are nearly to the 2nd trimester! Hopefully this one will be more comfortable...m/s and all those other symptoms are the pits. TRACY, you're so sweet about the cloth diapers. I'm hoping they work out, since I just spent like $350 get started! One reason we are doing them is that it's supposed to be less expensive over the long haul... anywhere from 25% to 50% off the cost of disposables. (One thing I read said that over 2.5 years, cloth diapers cost about $32/month, while disposables cost $65-$130, depending on which ones you get). Also, I've read that with cloth you often have fewer problems with diaper rash, and you can often toilet train sooner. I hope both of those things are true for our little one! T - I read about your cough on another thread... hope that goes away soon. Not much new here... just a complaint about my "boss" (well, he's not really my boss, but he owns the store where I teach.) For the past 3 weeks (at least) he keeps making guesses about when the baby is coming. For example, I'll be leaving on a Wednesday night (I don't teach Thursdays or Fridays) and he'll say, I'll bet you'll have the baby in the next day or two. Now, I'm only at 34-35 weeks, and while the baby might be just fine if he came out now, I'd really feel better about hanging on to him for at least another week or two. And he's been saying this since like week 32! I know he's just not used to seeing someone so big and pg, but (like Hopeful) I believe in the power of positive thought, and it really ticks me off that he keeps saying this stuff. I've made comments like "I don't want my baby to end up in the NICU" or things like that, but he keeps doing it. (This is the same guy who kept making unsolicited guesses about the baby's s_x.) Grrr. I think the hormones are getting to me. I've been crying at the drop of a hat lately. And I swear I'm just going to smack him if I get another comment like that today when I see him! Alright, I'd better get going... my students' recital is today so I'm going to do a bit more laundry and then head off to the recital site. Speaking of positive thought, wish me luck that my water doesn't break while I'm in front of all my students and their parents! ;-)

Hopeful - I forgot to say that the cloth diapers are so cute! I got mostly the prefolds with covers, but I also got a few "all-in-ones" from FuzziBunz and they are just adorable! I know they'll be less cute once they get dirty, but right now, I love them! They look really comfortable too.

hey all hope everyone is doing well.....i on the other hand have had a hell week....my baby girl woke up tuesday morning while Dh was getting ready for work and he woke me and put her in bed with me around 615 well around 730 she woke me up by throwing up all over me her and the bed so i got up and changed us all and started pedilite (sp) and she threw it up this continued until her Pedi opened at 9 am and the nurse said to wait it out that it was a stomach bug and give fluids ( i was just making sure that something serious may not be going round that she needed to be checked for like food poisoning at local resturant because we had eat out the night before or something like that) so i said ok and continued fluids and she continued to throw up so i called back at 11 and she still was throwing up bad and the diaper i put on her at 730 was still dry!!!! but i was again told the same thing so i waited and she took a nap she woke up 5 times during the nap with dry heaves not throwing up anything my heart was breaking i wanted to help my baby girl but couldnt......so at 2pm daddy called and i told him that she was still vomiting and all ....and that the DR wouldnt see her so he was p__sed and said he was coming home to his baby girl so i made one last phone call to her EX pedi and asked if she could be seen and i was again told no i did tell them she was STILL vomiting diaper STILL dry and temp now of 99.8 and now she is refusing her cup so she is taking nothing in could he call her in something to help with the vomiting so i could get fluids in her and i was told it was a stomach virus and nothing could be done or given to her wait it out .....and she asked if she had tears when she cried and i told her she wasnt crying so i didnt know she said well she is not dehydrated after 7-8 hrs it takes longer!!!!!! soi called anotoher pedi and told her i was shopping for a new pedi and did he see sick babies and she sounded like she thought i was crazy but said yes he is a DR and that is what he does...so i told her my story and she said can you be here by 230pm and i said yes so we basically met DH at the car and took her in after a little paper work we were called back and DR came right in and introduced himself to me and DH and looked at baby girl and said this baby is dehydrated and going to be admitted in hospital!!!!! before he even laid his hands on her all that was based on him looking at her!!!!!! so he aske d what had happened and i told him whole story and he was mad that her OLD pedi didnt even want to see her....she spent 3 days and 2 nights in the hospital and was treated for dehydration and a bladder infection due to the dehydration......they started an IV on her about 330 (they didnt play in getting her in and treated) and she still didnt teetee until 8 pm that night (we know because they had a bag on her for a urine sample) ........so now the DR said more that likely the baldder infection was due to the dehydration but to make sure he wants to run some test on her kidneys to make sure so i am worried about that now as well........then she came home and daddy comes in from work fever and achy all over.....then about 7 pm he starts throwing up and was sick all night and still this am so i had to get a baby sitter for baby girl so she wont be exposed to DH and get sick again he had 101.8 fever when i left i felt so bad but we are not used to hiring a babysitter that is why i work sat and sun and he workd m-f so this is added expense that i wasnt expecting and one lady at work is PISSED because i will not work over for her till 3 am so she can go out of town .....but the girl that works first refused to come in early (at 3am) so i dont know why she is just mad at me.....i have a sick DH at home and need to have my baby picked up and taken home ....my god i am 33 weeks preggo and need to be home resting.......i really thought last nite baby boy was on his way the pelvic pain had went away some just on a few occasions i have had it flare up like if i done alot of walking or cleaning or on my feet alot then after relaxing for a while watching TV or what ever getting up was a PAIN for the first few steps then it was OK but last night no matter what i did i hurt no walking it off and the pressure was bad it flet like he was going to fall out and DH so sick i just cried at one point i hurt so bad but this morning i didnt hurt at all........and have been fine all day and he has been kicking alot so i dont know if it may be caused from added stress this week or what........but i go home in 30 mins to p/u baby girl and see about DH so i will chat more later and catch up on everyone tomorrow sorry about rambling so but needed to vent about pedi (ex) and coworker....and my advice to all when looking for your pedi ask if they take the wait it out approach or if they see sick kids because mine has the wait it out theory!!!! and my baby ended up in hospital for it!!!!!!! dont get me wrong some things dont need meds and can be treated at home but kids shouldnt have to suffer and my baby did in my opinion.....and the nurse wouldnt let me talk to him she jsut kept telling me waht to do ....and it caused my 17 mo old to dehydrate and get a bladder infection.....

COL-so glad to hear you're staying in touch-thanks so much for updating us! I hope your m/s goes away or at least subsides soon! Val-sorry to hear about your insensitive co-worker, they are every where aren't they? I've been an emotional roller coaster too. I always thought that went after after the 1st tri, but it seems to have stuck with me pretty much throughout 2nd and 3rd too. Well, the other driver hasn't called back again, we filed a complaint on the threat and filed a traffic accident report. The police said they were probably harmless and just b__wing off steam. Tried to look for a new van this weekend but I seem to have caught what my ds' had last week, sore throat, cough and headache. Some kind of bug that's miserable. I've been pretty much sleeping all weekend. Ya know how the doc is always feeling your glands on your neck when you have a sore throat to see if they're swollen? What does that mean, because I have 2 huge lumps on each side and I'm not sure if it's just something that will go away from a cold virus or if I should go in to the dr and be seen? Plus I've been having strong bh contractions at least once an hour if not more. I wonder if being sick makes them stronger? Anyways, hopefully I'll feel better for my shower this weekend. Punkin-I can't believe your ex pedi. I sure hope you called them and told them that your dd ended up in the hospital! I would even file a complaint, that's ridiculous! Just another reason that people should always trust your instincts! Your motherly instincts should always take precedence over what a nurse or doc say. I hope dd is better and dh too! You poor thing, having to take care of someone and being so far along--hope you don't get it too! LM3 and TTC-hope your both doing well! Hopeful-are you still with us?

BM5.....most of the time swollen glands just means that your body is fighting something. The hard part is figuring out if it is fighting something you need antibiotics for, or just something it has to fight naturally. Perhaps write down a list of your symptoms, go to web md to research, then call the doc of you feel you should be looked at. Then again, since you are PG, maybe a quick phone call to the doc isn't such a bad idea regardless. See what they think. Stress can wear you down, and you have had your fair share of stress lately. Punkin, I also agree that the doctors who dropped the ball on this one, need to know that they really screwed up and that your child ended up in the hospital. To let something like this pa__s without saying anything would be a dis-service to other mothers, in my opinion. I hope all is well now though. I am happy today for one reason.....if my rugrat decides to show up now, I can go to the hospital around the corner rather than the one that is far and in a bad neighborhood. I am 36 weeks and that is the cut off point for determining which hospital I can deliver at. Yay!!! I can't believe I even made it to 36 weeks without losing my mind!

Yahhh! Tracy-that's awesome! What a relief for you to be able to deliver where you want. So nice of Savannah to cooperate. I can't believe you made it this far with everything you've been through. Hopefully it won't be long now. I called the doc yesterday and they wanted to see me to test for strep throat. It was negative, so that's good. Just a nasty virus I guess, but it does feel a little better today. The glands aren't quite as swollen. And I bought another mini van yesterday. I don't quite like it as much as my other one, but at least the worry of not having one is over. Now I can concentrate on getting ready for my shower. I'm registered at Target, but I saw a really cute crib at JCPenney's--it's round, have you guys ever seen a round crib? I thought it was cute. Hope everyone is okay-it's been quite here, I'm wondering if any more babies have arrived? Update soon!

BM5....sounds like things are settling down now. I'm happy to hear you got another vehicle, even if it's not your favorite. I'm sure it has taken a load off your shoulders. I've seen the round cribs and think they are precious. Do you have to order the bedding or is it readily available at the store level? I am starving right now, so hopefully DH wants to have lunch with me because there is nothing that I want in this house. Hope everyone else is well. Check in ladies so we know how you are....even you TTC'ers!!!!

Hi Ladies, great to see everyone is hanging in there. Hard to believe everyone is getting so close to their due date. COL, so great to hear from you.. I was starting to worry, Tracy, you must be relieved that you can deliver at the hospital of your choice. Babymakes5, excellent news that you have wheels and are back on the road. Take a deep breath everything will fall into place. Lovemythree, thanks for all your advice in regards to my c-section! Do you know how soon after I can start working out?I am so ready!!! Now all I need is for my incision to close.I'm still getting it drain twice a week. Hopeful, are you still enjoying the great weather? You must be spending a lot of time mentally preparing for the birth. Val I always struggled with cloth diapers with my oldest. Turned out to be the fabric softner I was using. His poor bum was so sore. Use lots of vaseline, it makes a big difference. Plus the poop comes off their little bums that much easier. The first poops are the worst, just like tar. how are you feeling, getting tired as the days go on. Punkin, hope your daughter is feeling better, there is nothing worse than watching you little one when there are ill. Ladies, I hope I am making sense, I'm trying to b___stfeed and type at the same time. Once I get one baby fed and changed I move on to the next.. it's sad but these days I get excited if I manage to brush my teeth before noon and my shirt manages not to have milk stains on it for most of the day. I do LOVE IT though! Jackson is growing like a weed, Spencer is feeling so much better, back to his happy self and Donavan is my amazing helper! I'm so proud of what a great teenager he is. Take care !

Well just got a call from doc's office. The overnight culture they did for strep came back positive-back on antibiotics for me. Yuck. Loved-glad to hear you're doing better! I remember those tar diapers! TTC#3-thanks for staying in touch-your time is coming! I'm thinking Hopeful must have gone into labor???? Can't wait to hear more.

hi all...Baby M5 - sorry about the strep throat. I was on antibiotics again last week for another bladder infection. I had no symptoms but I guess the test was positive. Glad you got a new car and that those awful people aren't bugging you anymore! LB - sounds like you have your hands full! Thanks for the diaper/vaseline advice! We don't use fabric softener (I'm allergic to synthetic fragrances) and I'm hoping the laundry soap we use will work ok. Not looking forward to those first tarry diapers though! Does that just last a few days at most? We were talking about maybe using some disposables at first so diapers don't get totally yucky from the meconium. PUNKIN, sorry about your little one having to go to the hospital. Seems like the doctors should have taken your concerns more seriously. After I ended up in the hospital in December due to dehydration and a stomach bug, I definitely learned that next time (whether it's me or my little one) I'm going to insist on going in to see the doctor. I just finished paying off the hospital medical bills - definitely a waste since if they had just had me come in during the day, we could have saved the ER trip and a lot of stress. I'm still kind of mad about it! SANN and HOPEFUL - I hope you guys are doing well and that we get to hear birth stories soon! TRACY, I've been following your posts on the May thread...glad you get to go to the hospital you want. That's a question I'm going to ask my doctor tomorrow - whether I can definitely go to the local hospital at this point or if I'd have to go to one that's further away. TTC#3, sorry about the AF this month. Sending you loads of baby dust! Well, I'm still here and about 4.5 weeks away from my due date. Everyone who sees me asks if the baby is due this week! I guess I am measuring big. I have another u/s tomorrow. I feel ok, mostly just very tired and hormonal. Yesterday dh left really early (like 6:15am) for a conference in the city and at about 6:45 our neighbor called and said our cows were out. I had a total breakdown. Sobbed for 20 minutes until I got in touch with dh and he said that he was headed back home to round them up. I just felt so helpless and frustrated! There was no way I could have walked all the way out to where they were and rounded them up. I'm still trying to walk several blocks every day, but it's a different story walking on uneven pasture and rounding up large horned animals! I'm still planning to work until May 5th, but I'm just so tired that I'm not sure I'm going to make it. I'll probably see what the doctor says tomorrow. Well, I hope everyone has a good day... :-)
