Miscarriage Due To Down Syndrome Pregnancy

I just found out that my mis carriage was due to a downsyndrome pregnacy.Anyone have this simular problem. what are the chances it can happen next pregnancy. I'm 37 going on 38 and trying again to get pregnant..... anyone out there help..

First of all - sorry for your heartbreak and devastation! Don't have exact situation, but lost a baby to a trisomy 15 ...anyway - we went to genetic counseling since this was my 2nd m/c and the other had signs of being caused by genetic problem (we didn't test)....the counselor said that we had a greater chance of having that exact same genetic "failing" happen to us than we did of another trisomy. Said that for the other trisomy's (for instance 21) our risk would be the same as any other couple our age. This was after doing a family tree of immediate family with health, etc... After that meeting my brother and his wife, had a baby born with DS. He is 10 months old now.

Hi there. I am so sorry for your loss. I was told the chances of having a baby with ds was 1/100 if you already had a child with ds. I am not sure about m/c rates etc though. good luck.
