Smells are pretty bad for me too... often just opening my refrigerator sets me off! I think m/s starts at different times for different people, so it's not unusual to start at 8 weeks. And it's often different from one baby to the next. My m/s started at about 6.5 and is still going strong (I just started my 11th week). My dr gave me a prescription for a b vitamin plus folic acid (it's called Premesis) and it seems to be helping a little with the nausea, although I still puke once every morning. Lots of people have suggested eating/drinking things with ginger... the best suggestion I got was freezing ginger ale - it's really good! (I fill a small plastic cup about half way, and let it freeze for about half a day or more). Good luck to you...
