it has been great reading all the positive posts of others where the EIF was found on the ultrasound. I too had this happen on Monday. I am 37, first time mom, who tried for years too get pregnant. I have done the research, read the posts and yet can't stop crying about it. I just had the quad screen done on Monday and waiting 7 to 10 days for results is TORTURE. Did anybody else totally obsess about this? I can hardly eat or sleep. by the way THANKFUL your posts brought me great comfort.

Hi becky. I can relate! I am going to be 39 in a couple of months and was pregnant with my 4th child. My quad screen came back at 1/46 for Downs Syndrome. I didn't want to take any risk of miscarriage in having the amnio so we chose to wait it out for 23 weeks till after birth. It was a LONG wait but I am glad I didn't risk her with having the amnio. Our baby was born Jan 31st and her genetics test just came back today (they tested her cord blood at birth) and her result is NORMAL, NO down syndrome after all that worry. Try not to stress about it. Even if your quad screen looks bad and you have the marker of the spot on the heart it would still be highly unlikely. I know how you feel though, it was a long 23 weeks. hang in the there, xoxxoxo
