Hi everyone. Long time no post! It's hot, the kids are home a lot more, I have been working a lot harder... and oh yeh... there is a WAR in my country. I am in Jerusalem, so thank G-d not feeling it as much as the people 2 hours to the north of us. I am a little wired today, since I went to bed at 2:30 am (unfortunately normal), woke up at 6:30 and then had my glucose sugar test, so cant tell if this is a sugar hi or low - whatever, must sleep now. How are we entering 3rd trimester if we are only started 6th month? Or are we not. I just go by the weeks. To tell the new people, I am due Nov 30th/Dec 2nd so around 24 weeks now? My level 2 u/s came back good and I decided against amnio despite elevated numbers for ds. I dont know what it is, but have it written in envelope which is 5 inches from me now.. Have had it for about a month. How is that for self control!! SPeak to you soon...

aalex...sorry I forgot to add "epidural with c-section." I figured the "surgery" bit would've been enough info. lol The epidural I had was extremely painful, so kudos to anyone that didn't suffer when the needle was stuck down their spine.

Sorry Ladies..have not updated in a while. Pa__sed my 1 hour gluclose test. (Does anyone know what number we are suppose to have in order to pa__s? What is a good gluclose reading? Also, found out I have not tested positive for rh- antibodies. (Thank God) Have to go next week to the hospital to get a rhogam shot..I guess they do this before and after the baby is born. Booked my hospital tour for Sept 10th. Have done most of my baby registry...but have still not chosen my baby furniture...am having a hard time with that. Have chosen a twinkle twinkle little star theme which has little bunnies and lambs as well as stars. I am starting to get really excited about having the baby. I am really starting to show now...ugh! But I think I have gained 10 pounds or so..not sure. I sat outside today as it was not too hot and got some colour. I even wore a bikini with a little tube top. Was kindof embarrased when some people dropped in on my but hey I am a preggo!! Anyway, hope you are all doing well..I still love hearing the updates..I have noticed there are hardly any postings on the over 35 thread anymore..that's too bad as I remember when I first came here there were so many. Hope to hear from everyone soon..XO Kristin

Hopeful and excited - August 13

Hey Kristin - I know I'm not a November Mom anymore but I still drop by and read the posts. I too love to hear how everyone is doing and am also sad to see that there are fewer and fewer posts. Anyway, - my news in brief - I'm in the ghastly 2ww of my first attempt and am wishing really hard that it's going to happen this time. Unfortunately I've had very few symptoms and most were only very brief so I'm not holding out much hope but my husband is much more philosophical about it and says if it's not this time then it'll be next. Keep your fingers crossed! I don't want to hijack this thread so if you want to keep in touch then perhaps we could start a new thread for people with verbal diarrhoea!!

Hi Hopeful, So nice to hear from you and...Best of luck conceiving very soon. I still remember when I used my ovulation predictor kit back in Feb and it said I had the surge. I thought in my mind there is no way it will happen so quickly..but low and behold I was preggers after the second cycle. I have a good feeling things will happen quickly for you and your hubby...his optimism and your positive att_tude will pay divedends in the end. You are right the updates have become so few here. Even the questions are few. I find myself jumping to other boards..but I prefer the updates from women close to my age as I can relate to them more easily. Anyway, I have had a really long day today..so I am going to bed..but would really love to hear more about everyone who is a November Mom again and that includes you too Hopeful. Despite your loss you will always be a November Mommy to us...Even when I pa__sed the original due date (June 21st,2006) from my previous pregnancy I remember I had feelings of sadness. Of course, I was still trying to focus on my current pregnancy, but I still had a weird feeling of what could have been around that time...Well, anyway, I will update more soon..All the best girls!!!!!

Hello ladies, good to hear from you Hopeful and Excited. All is well with my pregnancy. I will be 28wks on wednesday and i go to have my glucose test done on Thursday. Kristin 72 i'm not sure about the glucose count either but i'll ask my DR on Thursday and let you know. Kristin72 - August 14

Alexaand, all the best with your gluclose test. This is one test I actually believe it or not kindof liked. The orange drink was sweet..but just like orange pop. I am entering my 27th week on Wednesday...it's hard to believe we are already in out third trimesters. I went to the gym this morning...still feel great in general...so excited!!! Take Care Kristin

Perl - August 15

Happygal: it was probably for the best that I wasn't allowed to go on the cruise. Just came back from vacation and I was chugging Emetrol on the plane for nausea when I don't normally get sick on planes. I'm sure it would have been worse on a cruise. Funny about "labor" day, I think we'll have to ban that word in our home until November comes around. Kristin: good to hear about your results on the rh- antibodies, that's good news right? Congrats on that and pa__sing the glucose test too. About nurseries. . the furniture I ordered for the nursery has arrived but we're not ready to pick it up yet since I haven't figured out what to do with the nursery walls yet (they are 1/2 textured and 1/2 flat so they need to be fixed before any paint goes on). Twinkle star sounds very cute! I'm going with Noah's ark because it's easy to find stuff and I can go a little nautical, with cutesy animals, rainbows, olive branches, etc or something like that. Annishel: my prayers go out to you for safety for you & your loved ones, and for peace and protection for Jerusalem and all of Israel. Take care.

Kristin72 - August 15

Welcome back Perl! Sorry about the nausea..yuk! Noah's Ark sounds so cute! I went to a baby furniture warehouse today..think I finally found my crib...(wiping sweat off my forehead!) I have been searching for the "right" one and the right price...I think I will get the one I saw today it is white..I will probably get a matching change table and dresser. Perl~ did you find out the s_x of your little one? I can't seem to remember..Anyway, glad your back ..we missed you..hopefully there will be more updates now..people seem to be poking their heads into the forums again. All the best! Kristin

Perl - August 16

Thank you Kristin for the welcome back. I know what you mean about finding the right crib, I let out a sigh of relief once I put in my order too. It meant that from there I could finally move on to choosing the bedding, accessories for the room ,etc. And yes, I do know my little one's gender---boy.

MellyMel - August 16

Hi ladies. Sorry I haven't posted in a bit, but I have been SO d__n freakin busy!!! I went today for my 1-hour glucose and see my ob on Monday. I hope I pa__sed! If you remember, I pa__sed my 3-hour 2 months back, but they want to be sure I still didn't develop it later in my pregnancy since I had it with my son last pregnancy. I guess they are just being safe. If this is negative, I don't think I get any more. YAYY! I think this is it. Of course, unless I have weird symptoms later in my pregnancy, but there's only 3 more months to go!!! I have my fingers crossed. I am still feeling great. I am at 24w/3d today. Some of you are further along. I think I am the baby here. LOL. This pregnancy is SO MUCH healthier than my last and I'm so thankful for that. She has been kicking up a storm and everyone can feel her now. LOL. She is extemely active and sometimes to the point that I can't rest because all she is doing is kicking or moving around in there!! LOL. She even had the hiccups last night. It was too funny. She didn't have them very long, but it feels so weird man. Anyway, we have 2 names picked out, Aubrey(which I love, but hubby and family do not care for it) and Courtney(we all like). So who knows. We will see. I"m off to bed now. Very tired tonight. Had a long day at work and at the hospital and such. Everyone take care and I'm glad to see you are all doing well!! I will read and write when I have more time......XO

Perl - August 16

Do your babies have a kicking/movement pattern? Are we supposed to be keeping track of baby movements at this point? Mine has seemed to be most active at 5 am and then again at around 10 pm with some movements in between. I'm asking because today, for the first time he's been a little quiet.

aalexand - August 17

Hi Ladies, Perl my baby moves mostly at night when i'm resting. But she moves alot during the day especially after i eat and their has been times when she doesn't move on her normal routine; so what i do is eat something and wait an hour and she starts moving. So you may want to try eating something to get your baby to kicking.

Perl - August 17

Thanks Aalex. I'll try to be more regular with my meals and snacks, I've had a busy couple of days and did notice that I waited too long between meals/snacks even skipping breakfast. I just ate and drank some OJ and feeling his movements as I type so this is good. I'm still feeling him move but just not as regularly as last week.
