hey marcie, hope the midwife allows you this option if thats how you feel.As for keeping my husband happy...twice,poor bloke does'nt know what I want,I've then been so scared afterwards. To maidencanada,I realise what you are saying, but I know that a love for a child must be incredible, and mothers tend to forget their pain, which is natural, thats why you see more than one child.Women say if it were men they'd only have one,but the same feeling applies,I have read womens horror stories,to me its logic that although you are designed to naturally have babies, and you get supple and stretch, its obvious that its going to hurt,a hell of a lot. Many people have operations nowadays, yes they are sore and ache, but it seems more appealing to me

My sister had a natural birth and a c section and she said by far she would take the v____al birth over c section any day. With a natural birth you hurt like hell for about an hour-2 hours. Prior to that labour pains are just like really strong menstrual cramps. So, you get 2 hours of omg that hurts pain and then nothing. No pain, it is gone. Or you get a c-section and have 10 days of recovery pain, hurting everytime you move, unable to get comfortable or sleep. So while the c-section gal is gruntingin pain to get off the couch, v____al gal is dancing around the livingroom preparing to take her newborn to the mall to meet her friends for coffee.

I'm pregnant,do you think a section is best then, you said it was wonderful?why is that?

it was wonderful because it was planned, music being played as the baby was born, all felt very modest even though I led there with nothing on down there,I was'nt in pain with other people looking on,but felt part of the group. The recovery afterwards was not as bad as I expected,I was sore but coped fine,

I can see why celebs choose a section,I had one and thought it was great, some women I met in clesses had theirs natural, all said how painful it was,but as time goes on they'll naturally forget the intensity.I was at cla__ses getting more and more het up at the thought,so I chose a section, just based on that, and am so glad I did.

i think i will try my best to go v____al though i too am terrified of trying to push a baby out. I had an abortion a couple of years ago without anesthesia (why did they even offer this choice- terrible) and I went into shock. It was terrifying.

What an awful thing to say,you pathetic immature woman. To Mandy.I had an elective section, and it was great. You have it planned for the week before your due date, none of this waiting until contactions come thick and fast. The surgeons are very good, help you relax a little, you feel tugging sensations, but no pain. The recovery is not as bad as some say, with pain meds its fine, and the nurses are there.Sections are so commen these days so I don't think too much when they say its major surgery. Its not a cancer patient going for an operation in the hope they cut it out,it is a cut, then recovery.I don't blame celebs from having a section. The last post cannot really comment, its clear she's never had one,I bet its a teenager on here trying to cause trouble, stupid twit!

That was a vile thing you said before about people electing c-sections.The most important thing is how you raise a child, and by giving all this abuse,it puts you in a bad light.Like the other lady said its clear you did'nt have a section, and did seem immature at your lack of knowledge of the subject yet had to answer.I have a choice on what to have. However, the most important thing is knowing what is right and wrong for my growing baby, being in a loving suppoprtive relationship raising a child together, that is what is important.I obviously want to give birth in the best way possible,as we all do,and if that means an elective c-section then so be it.

OH I SO AGREE I THINK ALL WOMEN SHOULD HAVE A C-SECTION INSTEAD OF NATURAL I MEAN NATURAL BIRTHS ARE JUST SUCH A PAIN HA HA LOL I MEAN REALLY I THINK IT IS BEST FOR THE BABY TO HAVE MOMMY PUMPED FULL OF DRUGS AND THE BABY PULLED OUT THRU A BIG CUT IN THE STOMACH WHEN MOMMY DOES NOT WANT TO FEEL THE PAIN OF NATURAL BIRTH I THINK IT IS REALLY TOO MUCH TO ASK OF US TO GO THRU NATURAL LABOR WHY SHOULD WE THE POOR THINGS BACK IN THE DAY THAT HAD TO ENDURE THAT AWFUL PAIN WHEN A C-SECTION IS SO SIMPLE NOW AND THE MOROPHINE THEY GIVE YOU AFTER WARDS FOR THE PAIN WELL I DON'T THINK THAT COULD GET IN THE BREAST MILK THAT THAT LITTLE BABY IS GONNA DRINK RIGHT AFTER BIRTH BUT SO WHAT IF HE/SHE DOES IT CAN'T HURT EM' CAN IT? NAH AND WHO CARES CAUSE ATLEAST MOMMY DID NOT HAVE TO FEEL THE PAIN OF NATURAL CHILD BIRTH.......

I think the above hate posts are actually kind of funny. She rants about natural birth vs elective csections, yet it is clear by her uncouth manner the children she raises will be foul mouthed bigots like their mother. Children have to be taught to hate and the freewheeling, profanity laced tirade against the 'selfish b___hes' only make her less of a woman. Good luck to raising her kids from the selfish b___hes and their supporters :) Cheers!

I think the best way to deal with those hate posts is to completely ignore them (instead of getting all excited).
Mandy, I had a c-section and would definetely not recommend it. I was in such pain afterwards and couldn't care for my baby for the first two weeks. It also made b___stfeeding a lot harder.
Don't be afraid of v____al birth because there are many options for dealing with the pain: acupuncutre, hypnosis and it is also proven that women who went with a doula and/or midwife during their pregnancy have a much easier labor. I wish you all the best.

as I said before, for my reasons I chose a c-birth and it was fine.As to the lady, but thats the wrong word to use on her,who called me selfish,I don't think so,and intend on raising my children with decency, unlike by the sounds her children will be,as Kris puts it.The most important thing is being a good mother,I had no problems with a section, and for you mandy, maybe it is the best way to go.
